If my son told me he was going to stay at the residence of a convicted sex offender, where there would be young women present… with said convicted abuser - I would tell him he fucking wasn’t, and if I didn’t know and found out later he had, I’d be very disappointed in his decision making.

You don’t choose to spend time in the company or property of known sex offenders and expect that to not carry suspicion.

If my son was known to socialise with convicted sex offenders, in a location known to be the location of many sex offences, and he was accused of sexual offences in these circumstances, id hope there was a very thorough investigation into his behaviour.
