So what do we think will happen to Andrew, could he actually go to prison?

I just don’t believe it could happen. Also I’d like him to go to prison for the sex offences, that seems more important than his sharing confidential information problem.

Why did he (or rather his mum) pay out millions of pounds?

We also don't yet know what else AMW may have got up to. What about the photos of him with a prone young woman? What was that about? Now that the police have his devices, they will bring able to dig further, hopefully.

In the meantime, he is being investigated for leaking of information to Epstein as would be the case if any of us plebs had done that.

Witch hunt, my backside.

I don't know. Neither do you or anyone apart from the 2 people concerned.

No of course no-one knows "what else he got up to" any more than anyone knows what YOU get up to.

A photo of him with a prone young woman signifies........??????

Now, if he HAS leaked privy information that is something concrete and evidential.

Facts. Evidence. Not Suspicion, innuendo.

If any of you have Sons you may wish to reflect on just how you'd feel........if.......

In a civil case where the evidence doesn't have to be beyond reasonable doubt just more likely than not pay money and it goes away

I have a son, and I’d feel pretty upset if I saw a photo of him smiling next to a prone young woman.

SleeplessInWherever · 19/02/2026 19:13

@BMW6

I do have a son. And I can guarantee you that in the very unlikely event he is ever accused of sexual assault or rape, I will not pay £12m to prevent it from going to trial.

JustAnotherWhinger · 19/02/2026 19:13

I wonder if the unit built specially for the Lockerbie bomber is still in use.

if they imprison AMW they’ll need something like that to stop him being killed.

It was never going to "go to trial" it was a civil case he was advised to settle and he did she then lost interest in having him criminally prosecuted

Lost interest or was bullied out of it, because he was Prince Andrew.

Either way. I’d let the legal system do it’s duty and not buy my way out of it.

Nonsense - I have nothing but compassion for trafficked girls and women, but I think we all need to calm down a bit and stop over-dramatising.

Nobody is over-dramatising.

We are merely resisting your attempts at minimising.

I don't suppose MNHQ deleted your post for showing too much compassion.

BMW6 · 19/02/2026 19:18

Well that's just it - no-one knows what the context is!

For all anyone knows she could have fainted!

Or he's just finished raping her

Or they were playing Twister

Or she got pissed and passed out

..........

SleeplessInWherever · 19/02/2026 19:19

Yes. They were playing Twister on Epstein Island.

Some women will go to any lengths for men.

Again it was a civil suit that's not the legal system he was never going to be arrested or charged she was only ever going to be given money that's the only real outcome of a civil suit basically "im sorry you feel that way here is some cash now fuck off" is the norm for rich people

You are not acting in good faith. Do better please.

To be honest I’d be pretty upset to find out my son had even been to Epstein Island, but I guess some of us have lower standards for our kids.

You think his age is relevant? Or you just use ‘ middle aged’ as a Slur?

No, I used ‘middle-aged’ as a quote, if you’d read it properly.

BMW6 · Today 15:03
No. Seriously, I'd like you to tell me what sex offences he has committed.
Being a sleazy middle aged git isn't a criminal activity.

Nevermind17 · Today 17:45
Well I’m sure he hasn’t been arrested just for being a sleazy middle-aged git. They must have something illegal on him.

NotMeAtAll · 19/02/2026 19:26

ThereAreOnlyShadesOfGrey · 19/02/2026 16:12

I think people need to spend less time focusing on Andrew (not least because discussing this at this point could prejudice any trial if there is one), and more time asking why Andrew is being singled out here. What is it that people are using him to cover up?

There are three million pages in the Epstein files. And all the emphasis seems to be on Andrew. Why?

I don’t think there’s any doubt that Andrew is a sleaze. but IMO Andrew is by no means the main character here. And yet he seems to be being portrayed as such.

Who is this covering up and why?

And why are people on here lapping it all up in the way they are?

Because he messed with the wrong girl. If she hadn't made her allegations public, and if he hadn't denied in the ridiculous interview, and if evidence that he lied hadn't come out, things might be different.

SleeplessInWherever · 19/02/2026 19:26

Okay.

Since the comment was about how it’d be disappointing to see your son over a woman like that, and since we’re ignoring it was on Epstein island…

For all anyone knows she could have fainted!
And instead of helping her, he laid over her? Disappointed mum.

Or he's just finished raping her
Obviously illegal, and in the context of where he was, not unlikely. More than disappointed.

Or they were playing Twister
Clearly not, based on the picture. But I wouldn’t be disappointed about Twister, just the location he chose to play it.

Or she got pissed and passed out
See answer re fainting.

I’m not going to do that.

But if that is the case, why on this occasion does this particular man deserve the benefit of your doubt, and/or your defence?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. Easy to say NOW but if your son ever moves in such circles will you be warning him off? Without any evidence? Just in case?

ResultsMayVary · 19/02/2026 19:31

Tinglytoes · 19/02/2026 15:29

I think he will go to prison.
The royal family will not object to that happening because they know if they do it will cost them dear.
Charles statement has made it clear Andrew is on his own ….. good.
I hope they throw away the key.

I think the royal family were given some warning his arrest would occur - him being thrown out of his home so close to his arrest, and Fergie nowhere to be seen - apparently overseas? And Charles very clear statement washing his hands of Andrew. Perhaps even Andrew's titles removed so he didn't have any Royal protection under the law (is that a thing?)

I mean, Andrew is old enough in the photo to know he’s keeping the wrong kind of company. He doesn’t need his mum to warn him off. He’s not an impressionable young teen, he’s a grown man who knows exactly the kind of people he’s socialising with. So yes, I would be concerned and disappointed, but I’d expect him to make the choice to stay away all by himself.
