So what do we think will happen to Andrew, could he actually go to prison?

I just don’t believe it could happen. Also I’d like him to go to prison for the sex offences, that seems more important than his sharing confidential information problem.

He is teflon coated., bet the charges get dropped. I think he will probably leave the UK, go into exile and see out his days living like a king somewhere like Saudi. Sadly no justice for the victims.

That's a disgusting thing to post about a teenage girl who was trafficked and forced to have sex against her will. I have reported your post.

If he is convicted he can be jailed just like every other criminal. Same prison cell confinement as any other inmate. No need for a private wing. He can be banged up and treated in exactly the same way as all the others. He is an ordinary person and not entitled to any special treatment. The law must take its course and if he is charged he will probably be remanded in custody. Nobody is above the law.

Hopefully he can share a cell with Mandelson in due course,

I want his head on a spike outside the tower of London, anything less is offensive.

Do you like the idea of lynch mobs when people think someone has committed a crime? I would rather have a proper legal system.

HerosUncle · 19/02/2026 18:44

TotallyAddictedToCoffee · 19/02/2026 15:12

Exactly, this is what I said to a colleague earlier; he'd have to have his own private wing in the prison, with his own set of staff etc - so not even remotely cost effective/in the public's interest

Yes he's a disgusting human being, but he won't do prison time, unless it's a house-arrest style arrangement

There AREN'T any private wings 😂 It's called the Vulnerable Prisoner Unit, and you are there with all the other sex offenders. He may get a cell near the office, but there's not the staff to protect him, and what coppers are going to volunteer to stay in chokey with him 😄😄😄

ArcticBells · 19/02/2026 18:46

I think he will go the same way as Epstein, but at home on bail

DungareesTrombonesDinos · 19/02/2026 18:46

Thingything · 19/02/2026 16:58

The idea that it's somehow more ok to be raped if you're getting paid or it's happening in a nice house is a massive barrier to justice. It's part of the reason it took so long for Epstein to go to trial, part of the reason Michael Jackson managed to outlast his accusers and why Weinstein got away with what he did for so long.

Please. Stop.

That this comes from women towards other women horrendous. Being raped is horrible. Being trafficked is horrible. What Giuffre and the other girls went through is horrible. Have you seen how many of them are dead now? Suicide or drugs.

There shouldn't be a limit on compassion people. And just as someone can't consent to their own murder, there is no amount of money that makes it ok to rape someone.

This. Virginia spoke about Andrew raping her it is as though people have forgotten that. Does being paid £15k - rather than in cash, cannabis and a new phone - somehow make this better? So what if she was over the age of consent - she was not able to freely give that consent, it was rape and she killed herself because of this.

Simplestars · 19/02/2026 18:47

Do you think he will be able to have his favourite 🧸 with him.

SaltPepperandTomato · 19/02/2026 18:47

A butt of malmsey wine might be most appropriate.

What is wrong with you?

PandoraSocks · 19/02/2026 18:54

BMW6 · 19/02/2026 18:35

No.

DO NOT accuse me of victim shaming. Fuck Off.

I ask what criminal offence has he committed.

Not how creepy/sleazy/seedy/nasty - what specifically is his criminal acts?

Don't you bloody well dare accuse me of victim blaming. I seek LEGAL clarification.

As far as I can tell this is nothing more than a witch hunt. Some here would be thundering through the streets screaming "burn the beast" and setting fire to the offices of a Paediatrician.

Why did he (or rather his mum) pay out millions of pounds?

We also don't yet know what else AMW may have got up to. What about the photos of him with a prone young woman? What was that about? Now that the police have his devices, they will bring able to dig further, hopefully.

In the meantime, he is being investigated for leaking of information to Epstein as would be the case if any of us plebs had done that.

Witch hunt, my backside.

Bailing him would be a mistake I think. They could remove his passport to stop him being a flight risk but he will likely follow in the same way as the despicable JE. He is at very significant risk to his own safety.

Samewrinklesnewname · 19/02/2026 18:59

I have the feeling that he’ll either be the fall guy for everything, or it’ll be a total whitewash, no in between

That poster has said pretty vile things about trafficked women on other threads.

Zippedydodah · 19/02/2026 19:01

I suspect he’ll be on cushy house arrest, with all mod cons and the trappings of extreme wealth he’s used to.

Edited

Doesn't surprise me. Credit to MNHQ on this occasion as they were pretty quick to delete it.

PistachioTiramisu · 19/02/2026 19:04

Nonsense - I have nothing but compassion for trafficked girls and women, but I think we all need to calm down a bit and stop over-dramatising.

illbetheresunorrain · 19/02/2026 19:06

quite interesting...do some authorities read these threads and say: oh , you see, no one on mumsnet believes proper justice won't be served, so why bother

illbetheresunorrain · 19/02/2026 19:06

will be served

There are no sex offences. Relationships with young women? One we know of and that was settled. Any others? None that we currently know of. Yes, there may have been emails about women but that's all they are (at the moment). Will he go to jail? That depends on what he has done, what information may have passed over, Are the Government/Crown prepared to go to Court? A former Prince of the blood in the dock? Amazed if it happens. European or Middle Eastern exile I can see happening. A deal done between the UK Monarchy and a Mid Eastern one. A nice home in Dubai/UAE and an annual stipend for life. Don't his daughters live/work out there?

HarbourClankCat · 19/02/2026 19:07

There’s at least one other thread on this. It’s an FBI report on an anonymous allegation. No evidence has been published that further allegations have been made or that any named individual is prepared to stand by this allegation.

As I said on another thread, I don’t like the guy and suspect he has a good deal to answer for, but we can’t go finding people guilty of awful crimes on the basis of anonymous claims unless more evidence comes to light.

Well. Your deleted comment would question the compassion shown.

But - over dramatising how?

Silly women, being melodramatic about human trafficking.
