The goofy toad of toad hall-faced wanker

At least other countries have sexy right wing twats, why do we get him?

1.Please say his name as it is supposed to be said - farage like garage

  1. Please don't vote for him he's one of Those Guys - smug, sweaty faced supercilious thickies
  1. All his policies are gash

@DiySteveluckily I have dual citizenship.

Not a high rate tax payer but a teacher, as is my partner. I can't see many public sector workers who have a way out staying really. Reform are already talking about further cuts to education budgets and the NHS, they will likely try and further dismantle both.

😄Hating Farage is now the cool thing to do.

What frightens me more is a coalition of Labour, the SNP and the greens. That will be the end of Britain. It’s already too late to save our identity, of course. As two-tier Keir put it, this is now “an island of strangers.” Immigration has happened on such a scale that it has destroyed any sense of shared culture or shared history. I don’t know how people have got the nerve to call Farage a fascist. The Left have imposed this change on us. That is fascism.

But it’s also a question of space. My home town (Colchester) is now so crowded I could scream. The roads are clogged with traffic, and the hospital is at breaking point. My local woods have been hacked down and replaced with two new housing estates, and we’re going to have 400 new homes built on the fields in the centre of the village. That’s on top of the 300 new homes already jammed onto some fields at the other end of the village. But no matter how many of these vile rabbit hutches we squeeze together, we always need more, more, more. From the languages spoken, I’d say at least half the people on those new estates were not born in the UK.

How have “The Left” imposed change on us? Are the Tories, under whom immigration remained high, “The Left?”

But all jurisdictions require cumbersome visa applications and criteria. We had 27 other countries on our doorstep to move to with zero hassle.

So, what are you going to do?

I have lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the US - and yes, moving is an upheaval, but that’s not a reason not to do it.

Meanwhile, you have had almost ten years since Brexit - ten years to plan.

ThankYouVeryMuchJerry · 17/02/2026 12:06

If the majority of voters believe other party choices are such a great alternative then he won’t.

But if the majority aren’t convinced, then ask yourself why.

Shouting people down with name calling isn’t going to work

I'm not the one talking about moving away, that was someone else.
But for those who want to, how can you seriously dismiss the fact that losing FOM is a big loss because now we have to contend with red tape that just wasn't there before?! And good luck with the US, or Asia. It's very few people that can meet their criteria. That's really elitist thinking to go and patronise posters who would want to move away with 'you had ten years to plan'. Unless you are properly wealthy or in a high-flying career, there aren't that many opportunities out there. However, it's a fact that the doors to 27 countries used to be wide open, and now they're closed off. I don't see a positive in that at all.

mugglewump · 17/02/2026 12:06

I hope Reform do very well in the local elections in May and take control of lots of councils. Then, hopefully, it will be such a shit show that people will realise that voting Reform is not a good idea before the next general election.

The concern is the departure of high rate tax payers.

If the personal allowance increases to £20,000 at least you will have more money in your pocket to counter balance the above mentioned cuts. Autonomy over your own spending is preferable.

Tell us OP about your opinions of a Party Leader with a gap in her teeth and braided hair.
Can she stay or stand down in favour of Mel Stride? He looks average.

The PP was bemoaning the potential for a right wing government, and posted that they intended to emigrate.

It’s not for me to decide where they planned to go - presumably they have an idea, but bringing up FOM seems a bit daft.

People should go, or stay - but don’t whine about restrictions relating to the EU.

I actually am interested to see if Reform will be a shit show and if they are a shit show whether Reform voters will take accountability.

I think we already know that they would be a shitshow. Our local authority is led by Reform and it's clear that they couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery.

I think we also know that the Reform voters wouldn't accept any accountability. The Brexiteers have never accepted accountability after all.

If there was any admission that they had made a poor choice, then I think it would be couched in terms of "the lefties made me do it". We're already seeing lots of them trying to line this excuse up.

My biggest fear is that, when things inevitably get much worse under Farage, the idiots will turn to yet further extremes in the hope of finding solutions.

They won't learn from their mistakes at all, they will just keep making bigger and bigger ones.

Seeing as we are doing looks.

You missed out Starmer.

Second thoughts, perhaps that was deliberate….

Zanatdy · 17/02/2026 12:11

I’m a civil servant and we often discuss if we could work for him. Obviously we are impartial, but it would be awful.

Birdsongisangry · 17/02/2026 12:11

We've got a reform council. The local news and local online groups are full of shocked people who voted for them because they believed the spin that reform are 'for the working class' when so many of their policies are against the working class (locally, cutting services and increasing council tax) It's like Brexit all over again, if it goes national it'll be unbearable.

SevenYellowHammers · 17/02/2026 12:11

All his other parties have turned to shit and this one will too.

Realisticnotdetached · 17/02/2026 12:12

I do love how they have this ‘party for real Brits ‘ thing about them. Save the pubs and union jacks etc and yet they want to do things like reduce minimum wage ! Making out they’ll support their hoardes of working and middle class followers when they will only support their super rich sponsors and friends!

The concern should be about workers in shortage areas leaving as well as the (mostly manufactured) concern that higher tax rate payers will leave.
We are already seeing an Exodus of doctors to Australia for example and teachers to the Middle East.

Not sure what you mean about the more money in our pockets, presumably you mean I could pay for a tutor to catch up my kid struggling in an underfunded school system and not that I should spend more of my own money propping up and underfunded education system (way too common already).

I wouldn't say either is an ideal outcome?

I think a lot would resign.

Quite a lot of staff have left our local authority because they were struggling to work under Reform. Not because of the policy as there has been very little actual policy - what I'm hearing is that people just can't cope with the level of chaos and dysfunction.

Yes and Brexit drove away more workers and high earners ! But that’s rarely mentioned

That’s genuinely funny PS.

I don’t think it will be a “majority” of voters. But under FPTP they don’t need a majority.

100%.

Commenting on a person’s looks - particularly in the context of their role, is juvenile and unhelpful.
