I read this ( not daily mail!) on MN -is this actually a true / statistical prediction?
I can send the link to the thread that stated this .
I have never heard this before . I assume that this is not accurate at all .( also assume applying to uk) .

I have just googled it and can see no reputable source or reasonable evidence of it. Am guessing it comes from all
rage baiting and dog whistling going on at the moment.

1. A mumsnet thread isn't a scientific source. If you have an actual source someone with relevant knowledge or training might be able to comment on whether it's true.
2. Would it matter to you if white people were a minority in the UK?
3. If so, why?

I think the year 2056 is a typo (not of yours, I saw it in the other thread), as it seems rather a precise year to use? Anyhoo I went searching on Google and can't find it mentioned. I can however find other mentions:

whites will 'become the minority in the next 40 years'.

Which was based on a study by Matt Goodwin, the article above heavily criticises his method - which defines 'white British' as those without at least one immigrant parent.

I suppose if there is a huge culture shift eventually where things could get worse for women? Maybe if less liberal cultures influence national policy? That’s all I can think of for ‘so?’

Why would it matter even if it was true? The UK was formerly the largest coloniser on the globe, so people all over the world were part of the British Empire and later the Commonwealth. People in those countries were British subjects for decades, usually without any choice, and were subject to British rule, English language and control from the UK. When we needed workers in this country after the Second World War, we turned to the Commonwealth to fill the gaps in native skill sets and numbers. Our country owes people in former British colonies a huge debt, for the rape and colonisation of their countries and the overrunning of their own political and cultural systems. It’s only natural, therefore, that a lot of people living in the UK don’t have white skin. This has historically been a country of migrants from all over Europe, a mongrel nation, since at least Roman times. It is a noble tradition, and one which has contributed to our rich culture of food, music and literature. I am so sick of anti-immigrant rhetoric, as an historian. The Britain that filthy racist thugs and Reform want you to bemoan is a myth. Our culture is so much richer for what all the people living on these islands, wherever they are from in the world, contribute.

Skin colour of a population doesn’t matter on jot. What matters is integration into the existing society and its culture. What is British culture? Well it is the overarching culture encompassing the traditions/myths/language/history of the various areas of Britain as well as national ones.

The danger hasn’t got anything to do with non- whites, it’s to do with a usurping of British culture. And yes that is a problem because it changes the identity of a nation.

Why didn't you have this discussion on the other thread where that assertion was made@Thestarsmayalign ? Why start a new thread?
