I find it incredible that we cling to this idea of 'proud to be British'. The English rulers wanted a unified Britain so they could rule all of it instead of just England. They forced the Welsh and the Scottish accept it then went all over the world and forced others to accept it too.
British, like it's empire, has always been England, (or English rulers/government) in disguise. It's not a name we should be proud of after all the devastation this awful empire went on to cause.
Now, we use the term British to equal diverse. We are being made to be diverse for the sins of the empire. UK white people know this, but we are told we are racist if we mention it.
Yes, in years time, there will be very little left of 'white' Britain. Our culture has to change. But, what our children are taught in school has softened the blow. They will grow up in diverse Britain and won't know any difference.
And before anyone comes and says I'm knocking those that come to live here, let me say, like all of us, I've met some wonderful non UK white British. I just remember how everything once was.
