Inspired by a clip I just saw on Instagram.

Deep breath.

Here goes.

Robin Williams wasn’t particularly funny.

ETA “Start” obviously.

A private school is not going to help with a child’s natural development and intelligence.

Quite - but I think it instills them with confidence and cultural capital, which goes a long way (views on whether this is a good or bad thing will vary)

If you can't beat them join them.

I couldn't give a shit if a Transwoman has a piss in the same toilet as me.

I agree, I really don’t think I could sit on a bog, emptying my bowels if a bloke was standing in front of me pissing between my legs. 😉

Would you like a badge or a chest to pin it on.😘

What makes you think I don’t have a chest? How would I breathe?

it’s not always autism, adhd, PDA it could be you’re child is naughty and should learn can’t they always have their way.

Ha! I hadn’t thought about this before but I agree. I always pick them out when there are big slices of chilli all over the food. I like a bit of spice but toO much ruins and absolutely don’t understand the people putting chilli / hot sauce all over everything.

My husband does this whenever he cooks. Which the kids and I then refuse to eat. What’s so bad about being able to taste each of the ingredients, not just bloody chilli!!!

Cultural capital is made up bollocks to make MC parents feel superior.

Elvis wasn’t all that.
Ketchup is disgusting.
Tea is even more disgusting than ketchup
Porridge is vomit inducing

Garlic tastes lovely, has antibiotic properties and keeps vampires away how can you not like it?

Daisy is a vampire ?

Rizzz · 06/02/2026 23:33

People who post on unpopular opinions threads just to moan about them and say how awful they are, are actually just place marking so they can make sure they don’t miss anything.

A bit like Daily Mail readers who claim to hate it.

shuggles · 06/02/2026 23:21

@Teanbiscuits33 unless they are a head turner - which seems to be rare these days!

Do you not see how that proves my point?

But your point was that men aren’t attractive in their 20s either judging by the fact that women swipe right on 5% of men. This wasn’t my experience.

When I was 18 up until my late twenties I seemed to find quite a few men attractive, but it seems since I got older I don’t, and I think that’s partly because when I tried online dating at that age, the quality of the photos were so bad.

I’ve never been particularly observant when out in real life anyway. There are just even fewer people that catch my eye now. There are still some but I feel like there isn’t many I would look at and think they were handsome just by looking. Perhaps that’s a me problem, granted, or more an issue with my neck of the woods 😂

Stacey Solomon makes me sick ‘got these pens out for the girls to colour with… I’ll link them cos everyone’s asking about them’. ‘Just making my lunch… I’ll link the salad chopper cos everyone’s asking about it’
Making a percentage of the profit every time someone buys them.

Coriander, parsley, or any other strong flavour herb chopped and sprinkled over a meal doesn't make the plate look any prettier and often ruins the meal ad the flavour doesn't go

Ditto pea shoots on puddings. Why ?

Bunny44 · 06/02/2026 23:34

This is a fact rather than an opinion, but a fact that most people willfully choose to ignore: men are statistically significantly much more in danger of violence in public and from strangers than women.

Women are much much more in danger of violence in private spaces and from someone they know. Yet the yarn of stranger danger is spun out again and again - it's a form of societal control of women and is actually quite misogynistic.

If someone tells me to be careful about going out on my own at night/in the dark, I tell them this and head on out on my merry way.

My all time favourite! Simply love it.

And Bohemian Rhapsody.

Most children I’ve met with these diagnostics have absolutely wet parents. Not all though.

100%. Just making excuses and limiting their child's option.

southerngirl10 · 06/02/2026 23:36

Mother's should have at least two years off to raise their new born. They should have it written in their contracts that, because raising children is by far the most important thing a person can do, they still get full pay, half funded by the government. And they should be allowed to have their job back if they want it when the two years are up. Government funding stops, back to employers paying them fully.

"the most vulnerable" should come last in public policy not first

So you are saying vulnerable disabled children/ adults should come last in the que 🤔

Cultural capital is made up bollocks to make MC parents feel superior.

Cultural capital is a sociological concept - I'm thinking of Bourdieu's work. I'm sure plenty of MC parents see it as a good thing; others would see it as a bad thing, as it might mean that those with the most merit are passed over in favour of those who have the right accent or drop the right references. I think it's real but that doesn't mean I think it's necessarily a good thing

Yep, it starts lighhearted but descends into stuff you really should keep in your head.
Although I see the heavy stuff started coming out on the first page anyway.
