I’d quite enjoy seeing him rowed through traitors gate and made to live at the Tower of London. Peter Mandelson could be in the same boat. In fact they could be forced to share rooms in one of the turrets. Imagine the tourists that would turn up to see that.

Having said that his ex wife wrote a book saying how awful it was living within the royal family, I believe she coined the phrase 'the men in grey suits'. But it was just a poor me pity book.

That would be difficult as the Thames doesn't go up to Traitors Gate any more.

The worse he could do is to be used as leverage by hostile factions overseas.

He's also going to know quite a bit about a lot of people - not necessarily anything incriminating by the way, but information that could be used to get to quite a lot of high up individuals. It doesn't need to be criminal or sleazy information to put someone at risk.

He most likely wouldn’t even appreciate that 4 rooms for one single person would be considered luxurious by the average person.

By sticking him on the Sandringham Estate he’s being put on a short leash (though a tiny damp lodge at the arse end of Balmoral near the compost heaps would have been a better choice), otherwise he’ll be a loose cannon grifting his way around the world cadging cash and favours off anyone who’d give them to him, which is what he’d done for years and what got him into this mess. It’s the only thing he knows how to do. Like Mandelson, he has tastes well beyond his means, and people like Epstein took advantage of that to open doors (it should be noted here, because it gets a lot less coverage, that Epstein was a known swindler as well as a sex offender). Andrew is an idiot who would roll out the red carpet for anyone who showed him favour no matter how dodgy they were, after all it wasn’t that long ago that the Epstein business was briefly overshadowed by his chummy fraternising with Yang Tenbo, a suspected Chinese government agent. That’s why the royal family need him to be contained where he can be kept a close eye on.
Ideally he’ll be shipped off to the US to testify at some point, but that’s not going to happen under the current president, and as Epstein also fraternised with prominent Dems such as the Clintons, it’s unlikely to happen in any meaningful way if the other side get back into the Whitehouse either. The most we can hope for is individual court cases in dribs and drabs.

i find it astonishing when people talk about what William will do when he is king. As one of the people who's talked about William, I don't reckon he's going to do what his mother did and give Andrew millions to pay off victims. So it will be different in that way. Which is not a pro monarchy stance, as I don't approve of the institution either. But it's bleeding obvious the other family members aren't going to continue indulging him to the extent that his mother did.
