GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 01/02/2026 15:35

My husband’s is the end of this month I would say it’s nearly his birthday. My son’s is in late March and I would ask what he wants to but wouldn’t say it’s nearly his birthday yet. And that’s his 16th…

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 01/02/2026 15:40

Is it a very big birthday 21, 30 etc or is it a young child?

Namechangerage · 01/02/2026 15:42

Not….

Sally2791 · 01/02/2026 15:42

No, unless it’s a milestone one that you’re planning a big celebration for

Parky04 · 01/02/2026 15:45

No. A week away, than yes.

Nannyfannybanny · 01/02/2026 15:47

You only have one Birthday, the day you were born..

SpanielLover356 · 01/02/2026 15:54

As she got older, my lovely gran used to say that her relatives were a year older than they were from shortly after their birthday. I remember an aunt picking her up on this when gran was 80 & someone kindly said that they were surprised to learn that she was that age. Gran proudly announced that her daughter was nearly 61. My aunt had celebrated her 60th birthday a couple of days previously. 😂

Amba1998 · 01/02/2026 15:55

If you are turning a milestone and need to plan then fine

otherwise no - it’s almost half a year off. Just like you wouldn’t say it had just been your birthday, because it hasn’t. It was almost half a year ago

ColdAsAWitches · 01/02/2026 16:28

Are you the same poster from a few weeks ago that was complaining that her boyfriend hadn't started planning her June birthday yet?

JaquelineHide · 01/02/2026 16:29

No!

Peacefullbliss · 01/02/2026 17:01

Mine is the end of this month, and I wouldn’t even say it’s nearly my birthday yet.

FuzzyWolf · 01/02/2026 17:50
