Pretty much everyone I know had their kids between ages 32 and 42 (sometimes a bit older for the dads) and I have a big social network! I only knew a handful of people who had kids in their 20s and the rest of us thought were phenomenally young!

No... because quite a few of my friends and family have hit 30 without a child in tow!

My family have assumed that I will never have children, because I am permanently single and over 30. We'll see!

I’d think anyone who said this was goady and stupid if that helps?

I hardly know anyone who had a child before 30. Most of my friends have postgraduate degrees and professional careers, and we were busy traveling and partying in our 20s. I had my dc at 32 and 37.

With rare exception, the friends who had babies in their teens and 20s now are on round 2 or 3 or 4 with baby daddy 2, 3 or 4, not very financially secure and largely in minimum wage jobs or unemployed. It pays to delay children for most women.

I only know a handful of women who had babies before they were 30. They were all married and over 25. None were planning to get pregnant that early, but they went with it when it happened.

I didn’t start thinking of my friends and acquaintances as possibly likely to remain child free until they hit 40. Even some of them still became parents in their early 40s.

i think it’s finally safe to say we are likely all on our set life paths in our 50s.

No as it’s their business not mine.
