When was the last time you had a home visit? Is this a way of managing the " problem" by them taking clinics there? Is it a way of hiding this issue? I understood they did not have access to the NHS yet I see massive bags of medicine labelled for this hotel too at the dispensary. We wait about 6-7 weeks for a routine appointment.

That's weird, which local news channel were you watching?

I live in East Sussex, about a 30 minute drive from Crowborough. I've just watched the news on BBC South East, and they were very clear that the first asylum seekers to be accommodated at Crowborough camp are arriving later today or tomorrow.

Nobody is disputing asylum seekers moving into the military site, we are asking you about the 'runaways'

And it keeps them out of country hotels.

There is no war in Albania you woke fool.

I don't consider myself woke. But, let's be honest, the people who hate refugees don't even want those being bombed back to the stone ages - they are all cowards who should stay and fight. The women and children also cover up too much or maybe not enough and steal British men. Others work but maybe for too little so British can't overcharge.

The people who hate on refugees have small minds and pathetic lives. I can't imagine being so unhappy in my life that I would call someone a woke fool for saying wars lead to refugees but war isn't the only reason people want to migrate.

You want to live in the capital and look down at the people in the other districts who make your life possible.

We all know how this movie ends.

You should read an economics book one day. Nothing is going to stop people coming - genuine or not. You want to shoot them because everything else is too expensive. I get it. You're a horrible human who thinks your life, your safety, your ability to rise up and have opportunities is more important than a human born in another country. And that's why you'll rip up human rights and champion leaving the EHCR.

You are superior. If only I could understand how much better you are than all these people fleeing war and/or a shitty life.

I know that! I didn't say there were 🤷‍♀️ I said action by locals has been going on for ages!

This is what you said, quoted from the history
They are not supposed to be out and about. Those are the terms although a couple have already done a runner in the night towards Uckfield. This whole situation is monitored locally by locals
So you did say they’d been there a while - long enough to be monitored and ‘do a runner’. How has this happened of they have only just arrived?

And in that intervening 24 hours the situation was ‘monitored’, there were numerous runaways and this has been reported in the press?

What is the question or is it just you wanted to make a racist rant?

There's nothing racist about being pissed off about illegal immigrants

Anonanonanonagain · 24/01/2026 11:27

@Katemax82 thanks for that insight 25 pages after my post.

You are so thick. Touching British soil is the ONLY WAY to claim asylum. You can't do it from abroad.

If you don't want anymore people "abusing" this route then you need a different system. Gangs make money exploiting this.

Amongst the genuine are chancers. Probably above your head to understand that those gangs LIE to people. I mean, clearly people smugglers sit people down and explain things patiently and clearly and if you say I'd rather not proceed they leave it at that. I'm sure they never ever traffic the women and children for sex or organs.

Go on and beat the drum on this. It's all so pathetic. Because you likely don't want the genuine either. You probably want to cap immigrants even though the birth rate is low (wrong colour breeding to). You probably support capping foreign aid (looking after our own first) because you don't understand how improving other countries also stops unrest from starting.

The world is on fire. Various wars. Natural disasters. British think they deserve a better life.

I'm white! I'm British! Sure I've lived on an estate all my life and pay no taxes but what of it. I'm white! Brown people shouldn't get benefits - they aren't really British.

While Zia and Laila are both Muslims. You can't make it up really.

You won't stop people coming with your hate. But wrap that hate around yourself. Hold it close while you tell yourself you're a good person. You're not.

Some people just can't fathom anyone of "colour" would think the same - they're not really like you are they. They're all rapists and criminals, obviously don't respect women and are just incompatible with white British society which has no white rapists, criminals, killers or people who abuse drugs, alcohol or children.

We want our white British utopia! White British people are superior and they and only they deserve the very best.

Omg, they're not supposed to be out and about. Do you even see them as human?

If only you lived in the states and could shoot them on sight. How dare they exist? How dare they???

The asylum seekers are in the UK legally, having claimed asylum. They have freedom of movement.

They simply need to sign into, and out of, the site for security purposes. This is according to the BBC website.

If you believe otherwise, OP, please give a a source explaining why these particular asylum seekers are suffering restriction of movement.

You really can't seem to understand what I have said. The situation ie the upcoming placement of them in that camp has been monitored and acted on for MONTHS. The first 27 just arrived as the news reported.

Because what you said contained the assertion that some men at the site had run away to Uckfield. If that’s not what you meant, then what did you mean by that?

You haven’t addressed the issue raised by @cardibach , OP. She quotes you having written that

They are not supposed to be out and about. Those are the terms….

But these are not the terms under which asylum seekers are normally housed, and the BBC reports only that these men are required to sign in and sign out. No restrictions on their movements are mentioned. Please give a source citing the restrictions on their movements.

Thank you for pointing out that claiming asylum on British soil is perfectly legal. It is presently the only way to claim.

I wouldn’t even call these men ‘unprocessed migrants’. They have been through the intake stage of the process to claim asylum. Now they are waiting for a decision. They are ‘asylum seekers’.

Also still waiting for your credible source about why these asylum seekers have restricted movement, OP.

Might it be possible that someone was trying to get the local population all riled up and stretched the truth? I wonder whose self interest might lie in that direction?

Not talking about you, OP, but about certain political movements aiming to seed fear and divisiveness.

Would you prefer them to be sitting in the waiting room with you?
I expect you would kick off about it on social media and some flag shaggers would turn up and cause their usual unpleasantness.
People are entitled to medical care. Thats it.

Talking of flag shaggers and unpleasantness....

A police van parked on a road surrounded by trees with its side open. There are uniformed officers in and around the van, and another person walking around the back of a separate black van, which has a union flag attached to the back of it.

Arrests over incident outside Crowborough asylum seeker camp

Three people are arrested for alleged disorder outside Crowborough Training Camp , which houses migrants.
