Ice agent shoots a woman in the face part 3

1000 replies

Moontan · 09/01/2026 15:35

Donald Trump has now said its okay to murder a woman. Because they are doing it for people's 'safety'

It is interesting how far humans will let themselves be abused by bad people.

I was watching a documentary about jonestown the cult.

Some people left the cult

They said that the leader beat people, raped people, starved people. He made them do physical labour for many hours a day. He demanded that they give him all of their money.

And yet still hundreds of people followed him.

People seem to keep supporting a person and staying there. Rather than saying "maybe i was wrong and this guy is actually a bad person"

By what? That billions have been stolen from taxpayers? One scam alone amount to over 250 million and 70+ defendants. Thats before we get into home health, daycare and autism clinic scams.

The disproportionality is disturbing

What do you mean by disproportionality? Do you not mean selective investigation? Funny how someone accused of fraud himself doesn’t want anyone to look under that rock, but will find ways to claim the problem is immigration.

NotTerfNorCis · 10/01/2026 09:10

Have to admit I know very little about the daycare fraud allegations, so I asked Grok. It says:

"In summary, while there have been real instances of fraud in child care and related programs involving Somali providers—with convictions and substantial financial losses—the most recent high-profile claims appear largely unfounded based on official investigations. Minnesota has responded with reforms like increased audits and program pauses to address vulnerabilities."

It also suggests that it's not only Somalis committing fraud, and what has taken place has been over-exaggerated for political gain.

I work in crime and it’s definitely true that certain ethnicities or nationalities gravitate toward certain crimes (and this goes for whites as well). It makes sense as different countries round the world have problems with different types of crime. It’s not uniform the world over.

They are deaf, dumb and blind to reality.

I was on a different thread where it was mentioned that since men are more likely to sexually abuse children, then they should not be hired at nurseries.

Common sense right? Oh, but there was a small contingent that swore it was against their human rights, how dare we suppose that ALL MEN are rapists, women can rape too!

Frankly insane behavior.

1dayatatime · 10/01/2026 09:12

Alexandra2001 · 10/01/2026 08:49

Thats irrelevant... you may as well ask me if a woman walking home at night alone (and then attacked) was admirable or brave.

She has the right to protest, the agent exceeded his authority.

The difference is walking down the street at night is an entirely normal activity and is not doing anything wrong.

Blocking a road, being surrounded by armed officers who are shouting at you to get out of the vehicle but instead choosing to drive off despite an officer being stood in front of the vehicle - is not normal and is the wrong decision.

The fact that you can't even recognise this shows how polarised opinions have become despite the same video evidence being available to everyone.

No, it is not common sense; it is discrimination and it is rightfully illegal.

Women, do and indeed have, abused children in nursery settings, so if we stop employing anyone who might abuse a child, who do we hire? Labrador Retrievers? A cat, perhaps?

It also suggests that it's not only Somalis committing fraud, and what has taken place has been over-exaggerated for political gain.

I advisor asked Grok and I got this:

The "Somali Minnesota fraud" refers to a major, ongoing series of federal investigations into large-scale fraud in Minnesota's social services and welfare programs, primarily involving the state's large Somali-American community (the largest in the U.S.).

Origins and Key Case: Feeding Our Future

The scandal gained national attention starting around 2022 with the Feeding Our Future case — the largest known pandemic-era fraud scheme in U.S. history.

  • A nonprofit falsely claimed to provide millions of meals to low-income children under a federal child nutrition program (exploiting COVID-era flexibilities).
  • Instead, fraudsters submitted fake invoices, attendance records, and meal counts, pocketing reimbursements.
  • Losses: Approximately *$250 million*.
  • Charges: Over 75–98 defendants (with figures varying slightly by source), most of Somali descent; dozens convicted, some sentenced to decades in prison.
  • Funds were allegedly used for luxury purchases (cars, homes, jewelry) or sent overseas (e.g., to Kenya or Somalia).

This was not directly SNAP (food stamps) fraud but a federal child nutrition program — though related welfare programs have been implicated in the broader scandal.

Broader Scope and Escalation (2025–2026)

Investigations expanded to multiple state-administered programs (e.g., Medicaid-funded autism therapy, housing stabilization, adult day care, child care centers).

  • Federal prosecutors (U.S. Attorney's Office, Minnesota) estimate fraud across 14 "high-risk" programs could exceed *$1–9 billion* (with some claiming half or more of $18 billion in funds since 2018 potentially fraudulent).
  • Common tactics: Billing for services never provided, fake clients, kickbacks (e.g., to parents for enrolling kids), shell companies.
  • Defendants: As of early 2026, around *98 charged, with 85+ of Somali descent and 60+ convicted*.
  • A viral December 2025 YouTube video by Nick Shirley (alleging empty Somali-run daycares billing millions) amplified attention, leading to:
- FBI/DHS raids. - Trump administration actions (freezing federal child care funds to Minnesota, ending temporary protections for some Somali immigrants, increased ICE enforcement).

Political and Community Impact

  • The cases have sparked intense debate, with President Trump and Republicans highlighting them as evidence of systemic issues in Minnesota under Gov. Tim Walz (who faced criticism for delayed oversight and later dropped his 2026 reelection bid).
  • Somali-American leaders and advocates argue the fraud involves only a small subset, not the community as a whole, and that the scrutiny has led to unfair harassment, threats, and racism.
  • Some reports investigated (but found no direct evidence of) funds reaching groups like al-Shabaab (a Somali terrorist organization); most fraud proceeds reportedly went to personal luxury or remittances.

In short, it's a massive, multi-year fraud probe involving hundreds of millions (possibly billions) stolen from taxpayer-funded aid programs meant for vulnerable kids, disabled adults, and housing — with the majority of accused from Minnesota's Somali community. Investigations continue into 2026, with more charges expected. The story has become highly politicized, especially around immigration and welfare oversight.

But her initial action actually going there, blowing whistles to alert residents to ICE being there (i assume not needed as people would be well aware of their presence) and shouting goady words out of her car window, was pretty pointless. What followed of course is highlighting a huge lack of training, and problems withing ICE, but i guess paying for this with her life wasn't what she planned.

Her initial action was no more pointless than Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat on a bus. Pretty much everything an individual citizen does is pointless in the big scheme of things, until it isn’t…

RingoJuice · 10/01/2026 09:20

Regardless, you cannot shoot people because they commit a crime

She was shot because she tried to run someone over. If it even goes to trial, the jury sees that footage and they’ll not convict

Sweetiedarling7 · 10/01/2026 09:20

Trump boasted years ago that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and still not lose any votes.
He was quite right. His supporters will defend him in the face of any evidence.
Most don’t have the ability to reflect and reconsider, in too deep to admit they were wrong.
The fact that this woman was gay helps also their dehumanising and demonising.

Here we go. You think you can just overrride the democratic process because you have sad feelings.

Well you can’t. You are no better than a pro-lifer screaming they need to ‘save baybez’

You can’t fix this sort of mindset 👆

She doesn’t care if your child is at higher risk of being abused. She doesn’t care there is an easy way to cut down the risk of sexual abuse of children.

She’s so concerned about male hurty feelings that she’ll put children at risk.

I don’t think any such thing, I am pointing out that martyrs are problematic for people who try to minimise or demonise them. This applies whether the cause is good or bad. It is frankly ridiculous to keep arguing over a clear case of unjustified homicide.

Teddleshon1 · 10/01/2026 09:26

I’m honestly staggered that people are comparing Renee Good to Rosa Parks. On every level. It’s just so insulting to Rosa Parks and the civil rights movement.

He stood in front of the car, at most, the car glanced across him but that only because he decided to shoot, he had plenty of time to move out of the way had he wanted too.

Using the gun was his priority, hence 2 further shots AFTER he was in danger at all......

Again, can you answer why he was justified in these 2 additional shots?

Edited

I asked @RingoJuice the very same question a few pages back but she hasn't provided any sort of justification for the 2nd and 3rd shots (assuming she believes the 1st shot was fired in self defence).

I do find it incredibly sad and dumbfounding that in a country that is supposed to be civilised and holds itself up as a shining example of fairness and justice that ANY person can try and justify the actions this thug took that day.

I think he and anyone who makes excuses for him should be utterly ashamed of themselves. USA has lost so much respect around the world just recently and I really hope that decent citizens are able to see their country regain some sort of dignity and civility some time soon.

Walkaround · 10/01/2026 09:27

And as for trying to make the woman out to be a bad mother, the agent traumatised, etc - all irrelevant to the fact that she was wrongly killed and was no threat to anyone or anything until she was killed.

Protesting is also "Doing nothing wrong" protest is legal, even in the USA.

As you are justifying her death, perhaps you can tell me why the Agent shot a further 2 times into her head AFTER the car had passed him?

@RingoJuice doesn't want to answer that, maybe you can?

When 5% of a demographic (male nursery workers) commits 60% of the crimes against children in a particular situation (at nurseries), frankly it's criminal to allow them to continue working in that situation.

There is risk inherent in everything, but where there are ways to reduce the risk of harm by an enormous amount, then I don't care who it discriminates against, especially when children are the ones at risk.

When 'inclusion' causes measurable harm in real world situations, it becomes a negative - inclusion is not inherently positive. Sometimes people also forget that 'discrimination' is a neutral word at heart, and can be used to describe both the positive and the negative.

It's not going to go to trial. Trump pretty much guaranteed him immunity within hours of the incident happening, without any proper investigation.

None of the evidence suggests she tried to run him over. I've not seen any legal expert claim this was lawful or that they could defend this. A couple have said they could possibly defend the first shot, but all agree the second and third shots and his demeanor afterwards are indefensible.

If it does go to trial, it is not clear, based on current opinion and the evidence we currently have access to, that a jury would find him innocent. Regardless of whatever right-wing echo chambers you're gleaning your insights from thinks, the wider American public is not taken in by the lies. Opinion pieces, comment sections, and polls outside of right-wing spheres, and the protests themselves, show that most Americans are appalled by ICE's actions.

What do you think about the number of female nurses convicted of killing babies, patients etc....

Perhaps we should bar them from being nurses?

Men can and do make excellent nursery workers, the issue is the supervision of ALL staff.
The only case of abuse down here, involved a female member of staff, selling pictures to men.

You might as well argue men, inc fathers shouldn't be allowed near children at all.

Anyway, nice diversion.

That's a lie. Doesn't matter how many times you claim it. A fair jury would and should convict.
