I said what I said, and my husband thinks it’s weird lol

My Brother cups his and hands them to the dog. Who gets VERY confused that's there's nothing there when he opens his hand, but he does his best to lick all the smell off my Brother's hand.

We've absolutely been dragged up haven't we? 🤣

Oh come on all you miseries! Farts are funny. Noise AND smell that could melt your eyeballs. What's not to laugh at?

Joke.....

Why do farts smell?

For the benefit of the deaf.

I was in the car once alone and farted and the smell was so so bad that even opening the windows wasn't enough. I had to ditch the car and get out. Was sat on a grass bank by the side of the road (Stallings Lane, Kingswinford, just past the KFC) absolutely howling laughing at the situation. Thankfully no-one stopped to ask was I having engine trouble. 🤣

It's natural, it's healthy, it's satisfying and it's free. Nothing beats a good fart, especially the bath ones.

A few years ago my dad had a stoma while he was recovering from bowel surgery. He couldn't fart or poo. He said he missed it and I felt sad for him.Sad

Normal but you find people don't like to admit to it and mn the worse. If you goggle there is health benefits re this. I was shocked.

I'm replying to pp who have quoted me and made remarks to me - as you have done.

Of course if someone tell me - as you have done - I shouldn't be posting on a thread I'm going to reply and tell them I have every right to post on the thread. Why wouldn't I defend my right NOT to be told what threads I can post on?

🙄

Somewhere in W H Auden's travel memoir Letters from Iceland that I read during my degree he quotes an Icelandic proverb that "every man likes the smell of his own farts".

Now go ahead and call this thread childish 😂

Erica Jong said the same thing in Fear of Flying. This topic is well highbrow

Well i've obviously rattled your cage otherwise you wouldn't be being so personally offensive to me.

You really don’t know humour do you. I’ve obviously rattled your cage by talking about farts, yet you still remain lingering, like my recent bout of wind has been around my house. Blush

This is the sort of quality niche discussion I always look forward to reading on Mumsnet. 😀

Exactly, other threads are so repetitive…. What’s not to like about talking about something we all do, FARTS!!!!🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

You just can't help yourself can you?

You can’t beat dropping a sly hottie in the CoOp! I live in hope that one day it will be right next to old misery guts up there (who secretly loves this thread but is too uptight to say so) 😂
