It is thought that thousands have died in extrajudicial killings and 7 million have fled the country to escape his regime.

We kinda need oil don't we? Maduro was a horrible dictator, supporter of drug cartels and committed numerous human rights violations.

There was a major US oil presence until the Venezuelan government tried to seize their assets. And things didn't get better for them. Their oil industry is a mess and the US companies will do a good job in investment and improving infrastructure.

Not all Venezuelans are celebrating, it’s just the more vocal ones.
Most are terrified. Latam Reddit shows lots of real voices, most see what Trump is doing/ has done and know what it could mean for their country. Trump doesn’t give a shit about Venezuela, he isn’t going to let the opposition rule, as far as I can tell he is going to let the vice president run it (Maduro’s right hand man) who knows that he will suffer the same fate if he doesn’t comply with Trump. This has NEVER been about improving things for Venezuela and only ever been about resources.
The West doesn’t care about Venezuelan people. It’s just a small nation of brown people very far from the UK. If everyone is so glad that Maduro is gone, why do you only care now? Did you sign petitions, write to your MP or attend protests before to help the Venezuelan people?
