I don't believe the joke was made by a man who was making fun of women, I think it was made by a man who came up with a silly little pun, that is mildly amusing at best (ie at the same level as my jokes).

Both men and woman laughed and groaned at it. No one said it was disgusting, ageist, exist, got outraged, started telling friend she didnt create that joke ( no need ,she is not a comedian claiming original material, that joke is as old as Noah and his ark).
