Someone likeable. Someone who everyone knows and respects. Someone who everyone would vouch for... someone who gaslights in a relationship-an abusive partner, mentally or physically.

This. Could be male or female.

It'll be a man that she loves or has loved.
Her partner, her ex, her father or stepfather.

I think perhaps most tragically of all, sometimes sons pose risks? The story of the teaching assistant in Llandudno who was killed by her son recently was so sad. I also know that a boy I was at school with, went on to murder his mother.

For a woman to bring them into the world and nurse them through life, to be murdered by their own child is just horrendous.

Just one specific person..so we can’t really say a man.
The first thought I had was the right answer. It was interesting how the other man in the podcast couldn’t come up with an answer really and how the majority of women do instinctively know

Do women 'instinctively' know or are they aware of the statistics? The majority of men are not violent to women, surely? The fact that the husband is the most likely perpetrator when a woman is murdered is horrifying, but it does not follow that all male partners should be labelled 'dangerous'.

I didn’t know about the statistics, it just automatically came to me, which is awful isn’t it

Yes that is grim that you immediately thought that. I was aware of the stats from very old crime dramas.

Statistically I'd imagine men she knows. A man shes in a relationship with (or has been) or a relative.
