Have just seen this on a podcast

What is your immediate answer/thought?

How sad, that we all know it's a man, and is very likely her partner or a male relative, or an unrelated male who is connected to the wider family, or someone she knows through work.

GreenPoms · 28/12/2025 20:37

The racist, anti feminism Gad Saad? Seriously!

ChikinLikin · 28/12/2025 20:38
  1. Partner
  2. Son

As an adult woman it's the man most likely to kill you after your partner and you at least have some chance to spot dangerous behaviour and leave (or avoid to begin with) but you get the son you're given and the law will punish you for trying to leave

Confused
notimpressedatm · 28/12/2025 20:42

A man who wants women to pay 50/50 while she does all the housework, childcare and child rearing, cooking, all domestic chores etc. And he just pays 50% of the bills.

A man.
Sometimes it starts as early as with fathers.

confusedctf · 28/12/2025 20:47

For the child :-
The mothers partner/ step father. So you could argue the mother who fails to protect!

For the adult it's her partner/ husband.

MEN

JHound · 28/12/2025 20:47

A bad romantic partner (a great one is quite something else though.)

Their baby. Childbirth is still one of the riskiest things women do.

Very good point.

Otherwise I think step-father/mum's partner (although they can be a danger to the mum's sons as well as daughters).

I always laugh at the notion that a situation where all financial costs are split equally but the woman does all the childcare and domestic labour is seen as 50/50.

Confused This is almost as batshit an answer as 'their son!'

NotrialNodeal · 28/12/2025 20:26

Really? What makes you say that?

Only this week, I heard or read somewhere that approx 9-10% of all women killed by men are killed by their sons. I just Googled to check and confirm this. Google says ’in the 15 years between 2009 and March 2025, more than 170 mothers were killed by their sons’. That info apparently comes from the Femicide Census and other reports.

Orangemintcream · 28/12/2025 20:52

A male doctor.

Nah. Far more likely to be offed by your husband/partner/boyfriend/ex or your son. Sad but true.

Tell that to the quarter of a million women who die each year due to childbirth. Oh wait, you can't.

Coffeeandbooks88 · 28/12/2025 20:52

Partner or husband.

They are most likely to murder after partner/husband and other close male relatives.

Apologies - a poster wrote something like brown skinned men as the answer to your question. That reply appears to have disappeared
