To think that Kier Starmer shouldn't be welcoming extremists into Britain?

Reported in The Telegraph today that Sir Keir Starmer has welcomed an alleged Islamist extremist, who labelled British people “dogs and monkeys” and called for Zionists to be killed, into the UK.

The Prime Minister said he was “delighted” that Alaa Abd el-Fattah had arrived from Egypt on Friday evening after a travel ban imposed by Cairo was lifted following lobbying by ministers.

Mr Abd el-Fattah, an activist with dual British-Egyptian citizenship, previously said that it was heroic to kill Zionists “including civilians”. He urged Londoners to burn Downing Street, told his supporters to kill police and said he hated white people.

Ministers are facing calls to revoke his British citizenship, which he was granted in 2021 while imprisoned in Egypt, where campaigners described him as a “prisoner of conscience”.

Sir Keir’s tweet yesterday said how “delighted” he was that Alaa Abd El-Fattah is back in this country. Does that seem a reasonable stance to take for someone who has claimed at the same time to be committed to "eradicating antisemitism in the UK"?

Interesting article in the guardian today ( sorry don't know how to link), by a previous Labour strategist explaining how the pressure from certain left factions led to an enormous push for the government to act on this case. Interestingly, he himself admits this constantly served to distract from all the more pressing issues ( economy, welfare, housing...), You know the important stuff that they're supposed to be doing to run this country! We have no hope do we with these idiots in charge.

Here you go. I do think this chap has a bit of an agenda and is bitter after being forced to resign over his vile messages about Abbott.

They are getting consular support but Iran is a very difficult country to do business with. Their case begs the question how much can the UK government do to help idiots who find themselves in trouble abroad entirely due to their own foolish actions.

FCDO advises against all travel to Iran

FCDO advises against all travel to Iran. If you are a British national already in Iran, either resident or visitor, carefully consider your presence there and the risks you take by staying.

British and British-Iranian dual nationals are at significant risk of arrest, questioning or detention. Having a British passport or connections to the UK can be reason enough for the Iranian authorities to detain you.

There have been warnings for years, yet, idiots like the Foremans still go. Egos so large that of course they'd be fine ignoring guidelines (laid down for others, maybe). Their poor families now have to try to get their idiot parents help.

I can't stand the woman. Even after being verbally assaulted after regaining her seat, she still gives her main constituents undeserved protection. If they weren't happy with her winning they won't be needing her support. Then again, no doubt they would leapfrog this 'mere' woman. She puts the needs of men before women and girls. Labour are bought and paid for.

Agreed 💯

In the words of Brecht in his Poem to Posterity, he offered an explanation of left wing behaviour:

Even the hatred of squalor
Makes the brow grow stern.
Even anger against injustice
Makes the voice grow harsh. Alas, we
Who wished to lay the foundations of kindness
Could not ourselves be kind.

Brecht understood that the certainty of your virtue will lead you into cruelty. Leftwing men can treat women appallingly and leftwing agitators can mimic the language and tactics of the far right. They are so convinced of their righteousness they cannot admit their faults.’

This is so true. We see it in this case and so many others. The Labour Party make me feel sick.

That is rather a sweeping statement. And why are you singling out women?

Plenty of left wingers on this thread have condemned el-Fattah for a start. Plenty of left wingers are critical of some Labour policies. Plenty of left wingers despise the likes of Owen Jones.

It’s lip service. You can’t condemn something if you support the engine that allows it.

Are you saying that its only left wingers that batter women, attack kids, cause all of societies ills etc?

You sound rather weird IF you do.

Btw Brecht was a playwright & poet.... i know you might think you re being clever quoting him but you re really not.

The Muslim rape gangs and cover ups, by Labour politicians. It’s systemic in their party. They hate women.

‘For six years we campaigned to force Oldham Council to write to the government demanding a Public Inquiry. We fought for numbers. We endured smears, arrests, intimidation and repeated losses in the council chamber.

When we finally succeeded, the government had changed. I knew exactly what would come back from a Labour administration when Labour politicians were themselves implicated in the cover-up.
**
Jess Phillips’ refusal was inevitable. The contempt still shocked me.

https://open.substack.com/pub/rajamiah/p/how-labours-rape-gang-cover-up-failed?r=4chxxj&utm_medium=ios&shareImageVariant=overlay

You do know that many of the Muslim rape gangs operated under the Tories?

That it was Terresa May who instigated a national rape gang inquiry, which took 7 years to report and it was a Tory Government that failed to implement a single recommendation (out of 22) the report recommended (despite having 2 years to do so) - yet within months, Labour started implementing them?

Now, thanks to you lot, we'll have another drawn out enquiry, instead of getting on with actually stopping the gangs, prosecuting and helping the survivors.

As ever, serious issues are overshadowed by arguments about which party has done worse.

As I’m typing this I do know it’s going to be pretty controversial but I do sometimes think that there is more we can do. If you see suspicious behaviour report it ie vape shops that look dodgy, barbers takeaways car washes etc that don’t add up as viable businesses or employ people who shouldn’t be working, have young girls hanging around etc, not only to the police but your local social services, HMRC MPs etc. Make it difficult for criminals to succeed in this country whoever they are. Because it seems that our government and our police need a little help when it comes to research and investigation.

I think there's a bigger issue in that the police are either too over stretched, don't want to rock the boat in case of being called racist, or even don't know the law. In London, for instance, the constant marches have used precious resources on many weekends as well as costing London tax payers billions of £££ to police.

I’m sure they will soon make up the money now that they will be charging those pesky EV drivers with the congestion fee.

The fact that it's got to the point (has been for a long time) that police are scared of being called racist is a massive problem in itself because it then leads the criminal justice system being open to abuse. It's not only police who get called that when people raise legitimate concerns. There is no grey area with some people when they are assesing if racism is present. I cba to give examples of such abuse because they aren't even subtle. The latest is the ridiculous compensation being awarded to a prisoner in solitary, who aligns with Islamic extremism comes as no surprise. Poor sap has been rewarded for depression.

Twiglets1 · 03/01/2026 05:15

@KittyTinker the police are well aware of things like dodgy looking vape shops etc they are all over the place now. No point reporting what is clearly visible on our high streets.

I think the issue is the problems are so overwhelming that the Police no longer enforce the law.

We have a M/C show every year, the air is thick with dope smoke, openly used in front of the Police, who do zilch... not a brown face to be seen...

Same with burglary, they do nothing, don't even attend... so why do you think they would target shops used as fronts for suspected money laundering?

Rural crime, like farm GPS robberies and hunting with dogs, even when violence used, is largely ignored.

The Police service is (outside of major crime) has become a "speeding enforcement service" little more.

What's that got to do with the price of bread? The congestion charge is down to Sadiq Khan.

HappyFace2025 · 03/01/2026 08:17

While I agree with the rest of your post @Alexandra2001 'Speeding enforcement service' isn't really what the police are doing as I suspect a lot of that is done by automation. They manage to send police officers to arrest Graham Lineham at an airport and no less than six officers to arrest two parents for their rightful complaints against a school.
As I posted above the cost, both in officers and money, in London at least is down to constant protests in our capital city organised by groups that are anti British.

Yes it was. But it's Khan who has increased the CC to great sums ever since he became mayor. It is a gravy train indeed as the vehicular traffic in London is as bad as ever.
