Agreed, it’s absolutely ridiculous now and because they’ve auto updated listings loads of them are completely wrong as well.

mit123 · 07/12/2025 18:59

Also buyers trying it on by saying things are wrong with item or not as described - and wanting their money refunded- I am seriously thinking of closing my account now :-(

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 07/12/2025 18:59

Yep. I hate having to click through photos to get to a photo of a label to find out if it’s something that will fit me or not. Just let us know the size of things. I’ve not added anything new to my favourites for a while.

handsdownthebest · 07/12/2025 19:40

They listed a designer sweatshirt for me, then deleted it a week later deciding it was fake...it is not.
I've complained but they are not replying. So annoying.

Pukkajones · 07/12/2025 21:29

Unfortunately it’s gone from being a way to get genuine 2nd hand bargains to being flooded by fakes. They’re going to be letting international sales now too… more fake tat.
It’ll be like eBay soon. Ruined.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 07/12/2025 21:35

Please complain to them otherwise nothing will change.

PinkiOcelot · 07/12/2025 21:37

Ahhh really?! I was just getting in to Vinted.

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 07/12/2025 21:38

Yes it's insane, it's gone from loads on their in my size to practically nothing - I don't know if people aren't selling or it's all disappeared down a rabbit hole, but they must be making big losses.

RedHotMess · 07/12/2025 21:39

What with this balls-up and eBay fucking everything to hell and back with their recent terrible changes it really is high time someone else entered the market.

Haroldwilson · 07/12/2025 21:52

I hate it too. The arrogance of thinking they could make UK market just change their size to suit vinted.

keeptalkinghappytalk · 07/12/2025 21:55

Madness... they must be attempting commercial suicide. Impossible to identify sizes ( im s 14 now a 20 -22 ???) so I ... and many others... quit.

RaininSummer · 07/12/2025 21:56

Yep I have pretty much given up on it sadly.

mydogisanidiott · 07/12/2025 22:15

Agree it rubbish. Some don’t even have a definitive size as it’s 12-14. I’m 14 which used to be xl and now that is a 20-22. It’s rubbish

ArcticBear · 07/12/2025 22:20

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 07/12/2025 21:35

What’s the best way to complain? Their ‘customer service’ is crap.

Thundertoast · 07/12/2025 22:53

Agree with it being commercial suicide... its been weeks, they must have had the data in showing sales have plummeted by now.

mildlysweaty · 07/12/2025 22:53

Anyone noticed you now get the seller’s full name when an item has arrived at the collection point? It’s happened twice this week with parcels I bought, one delivered to post office by dpd and one delivered to a shop by yodel. Vinted is denying it so I’ve sent photo evidence.

NancyBellaDonna · 07/12/2025 23:15

I’ve given up with them. Awful sellers passing off used garments as new. Sellers sending dirty smelly garments and very little support from Vinted if they are uncooperative. They get away with it time and time again. That along with the ridiculous sizing thing, the greedy buyer's premium and piss-poor Evri deliveries why should I even bother?
I used to really enjoy buying and selling because I looked on it as a way of recycling but not any more. It’s just time wasting.

YourWinter · 07/12/2025 23:33

I don’t have much still listed, maybe 15 items. I’ve been through and edited the few women’s clothes so they’re all in the correct size bracket but even priced at £1 there are no views, only a handful of the kids’s clothes have been favourited. If unsold at the end of December I’ll call it a day, delete all listings, and charity shop everything. There’s only about £12 left in my balance.

SizeableBadBoys · 08/12/2025 00:53

Oh, I'm not happy to see this because I've just opened a vinted account and made my first purchase! It had a photo of the size on it which matched the description and Royal Mail have confirmed it's been posted. What are they doing now that's so wrong? I'm a bit worried!

Friendlygingercat · 08/12/2025 01:03

I hate having to click through photos

On any selling site photos are part of the description and yet some buyers are too lazy to look at them. Then they whinge when they get something that is different from what they expected. Customers cant be bothered to make sure its what they want and leave an untruthful review. But then you dont need intelligence to buy online - just an internet connection.

But a buyer shouldn’t need to look at all the photos to make sure the size is correct as the description is so vague

I thought it was easier to get this explanation from the internet than make a poor job of explaining it myself:

Vinted recently updated its women's and children's sizing for UK users,
shifting from single sizes (like 'M') to broader ranges (like 'M' becoming 12-14), causing user frustration as existing listings were automatically converted, often incorrectly. The change aims for international alignment but requires sellers to manually update listings, leading to confusion and complaints about inaccurate results, with users demanding single size options or better communication.

You misunderstand- of course clicking though is important when deciding if I want to buy this particular item, but I don’t like having to do that first before working out if it’s an option.

Previously, I could search for eg “brand: Boden, size: 8, category: dresses” - possibly also filter by colour. Then I’d get 20+ options that all would fit me, and I just had look at the first photo to decide if I like it, then click through to decide if it good enough quality etc.

Now I have to start with with finding the labels then decide if I like it. After clicking through 5 or so only to find they don’t actually fit so there’s no point engaging, I tend to give up now.

If anyone from Vinted is reading this - I will never buy a size 10 dress, so why can’t I filter for just the size 8s? Why do you have to show me all the 10s as well and not make it clear what the size is from the thumbnails?

(this is as annoying if I filter by colour blue and vinted decided you had to have all the black clothes as well.)

firstofallimadelight · 08/12/2025 08:06

Agree I liked 8 dresses in 12-14, when I looked in detail only one dress was a 14 so I wasted my time.

Why would anyone want the sizing to run across multiple dress sizes it makes no sense . And I certainly wouldn’t waste my time buying a dress unless they show the label.

ideally sellers will started to put the correct size in their title

Sweetiedarling7 · 08/12/2025 08:16

To find my size 16 I now have to look through l, xl, xxl and xxxl. Some previously listed items have been moved to the bigger size categories (mostly without informing sellers) and some newly listed items are now listed under the new categories and either way there is no single size category for me to simply look for a size 16.
Unless specified in the description or there is a photo of the label I have to message sellers before buying to check the size because the category the item is in now means nothing.
The change is because vinted is now chasing the US market and US sizes are two sizes bigger than UK and vinted are now using US sizes for UK items which makes no sense.
Surely in the small chance that americans want to buy a secondhand skirt or whatever they understand that they are buying a uk size and so scale up?
Vinted are ruining the experience for existing UK customers by giving preference to non existent US customers, having clearly decided the US is too thick to grasp the size differences.
