well yes except when you click on things you like then discover it’s the wrong size so irrelevant if you like it or not. It’s very hard to tell from the main first photo what size something is.

If they can accept I might want to filter on dresses between mini and midi lengths, filter on a particular brand or particular colour, it’s so shit I can’t filter on size when I will never buy a size bigger than I am.

No one has to use it lol. I’m just saying it doesn’t bother me. If you don’t like it buy new or down the charity shop. No biggie. 😂

You’re missing the point, if I want to look for items from a particular brand where I know a particular size fits me it’s pointless to have that & another size all mixed together.

Nobody is saying anyone has to use it, but they’ve made it loads less user friendly with their silly update.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 11/12/2025 18:41

Agreed, it’s fine, I just won’t use it. Or I’ll use it less.

But it was a useful site as I’ve been mindful of buying less new stuff and had got in the habit of trying to buy second hand first. It’s a pity when a really good company decides to make a change that means you no longer want to use their product.

(bit like when the chocolate companies found palm oil.)

PollyPlumPeach · 11/12/2025 18:46

Stopped using it too. The endless obvious fakes that they refused to do anything about even when reported was bad enough. But with the American sizing jumble it's just too difficult to find what you need and be confident it will be the right size.

mendora · 11/12/2025 19:02

I have spent several hours correcting the sizes on the items I am selling. Very irritating 😡

I’m not missing the point, I just don’t see the big deal and I’m happy to keep using it, got some gorgeous things on there, I don’t sell so it doesn’t remotely bother me to click on a few images and see it’s a size I don’t want. I understand for others it is so enormous they won’t use the site anymore, I’m simply not one of these people.

Me too, it was this MN thread that gave me the heads up and lo and behold all my UK size 12 clothing had been recategorised as size 18 plus!!!

User74939590 · 11/12/2025 20:31

I don’t want 8-10 or 12-14, I want in the middle of the two!

travailtotravel · 11/12/2025 20:39

Ive taken everything off the site. What do I do now? Ebay is crap but better than this. Surely Vinted have committed commercial suicide? Or have they - the US market us bigger i guess!

CrossChecking · 11/12/2025 20:40

This thread made me worry, I love vinted and dd and I buy the majority of our clothes there. I'm in Ireland though so it's Irish/French vinted and it's the same as always.

Yes where is the 10-12. Don't think there's a 14-16 either. I've only just got into vinted and have wasted money on two size 10 dresses that were in 12-14 category. So annoying !

Thehop · 11/12/2025 20:48

I used to buy everything on Vinted. Don't bother any more because I hate the new sizing. It's stupid. I used to be able to just refine to size 18. Now I can't so I don't bother. Shame really as I much prefer buying used.

RaininSummer · 11/12/2025 21:35

I am missing Vinted but it's pointless now as can't find anything which I know will fit

Simonjt · 11/12/2025 21:56

Why are womens sizes numbered? Why aren’t they based on measurements, it seems odd, especially as in lots of other countries womens clothes are catergorised by measurement rather than a random number.

datgyalb · 11/12/2025 22:04

NancyBellaDonna · 07/12/2025 23:15

I’ve given up with them. Awful sellers passing off used garments as new. Sellers sending dirty smelly garments and very little support from Vinted if they are uncooperative. They get away with it time and time again. That along with the ridiculous sizing thing, the greedy buyer's premium and piss-poor Evri deliveries why should I even bother?
I used to really enjoy buying and selling because I looked on it as a way of recycling but not any more. It’s just time wasting.

Yep I feel some sellers using it to get rid of stuff only fit for the bin and half the time you’ve got to pay to return which is so unfair when it’s not as described .. and some peoples idea of very good condition nwot etc really baffles me 🙄🤣some of the items uploaded are nothing short of filthy and sellers who continue to deceive people on their 💩 items should be banned

I’m but can you see it’s made it less user friendly when previously it’s big selling point was ease of use? And as it’s harder to buy things from, it stops being a good place to sell quality second hand clothing. Which means you will find it’s just got the old unsold stuff on that was listed some time ago.

Im hoping they’ll allow dress sizes to be back as a thing you can filter by. It’s insane the amount of detail you can filter by but not size.

LilyCanna · 11/12/2025 22:12

Why could they not just have a separate US platform rather than trashing UK Vinted?

FusionChefGeoff · 11/12/2025 22:57

As well as all the posts above which I agree with… can anyone riddle me this….

There are now 8 size categorjes for women - half of which are in the very extremes of size 24+ which must be very very rare and is very very odd!!

Why?!?!

Why not use 6 of the categories for the mainstream sizes and have 1 or max 2 for the extreme plus sizes??

FusionChefGeoff · 11/12/2025 22:58

Sorry it’s 9 and 4 are 24+

Because they’re expanding to the US where many are very large?

Yamamm · 12/12/2025 07:09

I missed all the updates and bought my size 14 self a beautiful looking pure Irish wool grey cable knit open front cardigan. BNWT. In my old L-XL. It’s arrived and is indeed beautiful but would fit 3 of me in it! 🥲. Off to charity shop with that.
All my recommendations seem to be size 20 now. I have deleted the app in protest!

LavenderBlue19 · 12/12/2025 07:15

It's irritating, but I've got used to it now. New clothes uploaded are in the right size bracket (ish), so I just filter by New and always check size labels. If an item doesn't have a photo of the size label I don't buy it. If I really want it I might email the seller to check.

TidyCyan · 12/12/2025 07:20

I'm also filtering by newly added first!

The thing that annoys me most now is that it returns items with one of my search terms and not all of them. So say "Sports Bra 32F" will return any old sports bra, loads of normal bras and bikini tops in 32F. You can filter by item but people haven't always categorised them correctly.

PrincessFluffyPants · 12/12/2025 07:28

I spent the best part of yesterday afternoon messaging sellers and waiting for replies to ask what size their item actually was (as a Xmas present in a particular size/colour) because Vinted's category in the search gave one size and the seller's description gave another. Each time I told the seller there was a mismatch, not one acknowledged it but each told me the size in their description was correct (but not the size I wanted to buy as it hadn't come up in the search correctly), I've checked back this morning to see if any of the listings have been corrected as they are still in my favourites, no one has updated their Vinted categories themselves; if I was buying quickly and didn't have my wits about me I would have wasted my money and questioning where I stood on returning it (description correct, Vinted search category incorrect).
It has really put me off the whole app but ebay is awful too with the chinese sellers dominating the searches.

Pinkissmart · 12/12/2025 07:33

Men’s clothing is sized specifically. I complained, but it was hard to use their system to complain ABOUT them
