When selling women’s clothing, I always put the actual UK size that’s on the label at the start of the listing title and then more detail in the description - eg. “Size M on the label but fit is a U.K. size 10/12” plus I photograph on a U.K. size 10/12 torso manakin all the way round - back, front and sides and state in the description that the clothing is photographed on that size manakin. Anything I can’t photograph on a manakin I put the measurements in the description.
I had no idea Vinted had f@#k%d up the sizes until I read this thread yesterday, so thank you OP for the heads up, thanks to you I’ve changed everything back and luckily I didn’t have much listed.
Im generally a size 10/12 so I always search filtering by 2 sizes - S and M and then have to check each listing and yes it is a pain.
I buy a fair amount on Vinted, I love being able to get quality clothing for less and being more sustainable. But what annoys me the most is how Vinted buyer protection can epically fail when you need it. I had a reasonably costly (for Vinted) item delivered to the wrong address and despite proving it by sending photos of my address and the delivery unidentifiable door step clearly being completely different they didn’t want to know and paid the seller. The seller actually said, “not my problem, all I done was post it, I done my bit”
I'm also getting fed up with how slowly people send things or just don’t send things at all without any communication. Yes I get my money back eventually if it’s never sent but it’s annoying and Vinted should penalise sellers who do this repeatedly. I also get irritated by the “yeah I’m on holiday / away / not at home so I can’t send, can’t send it yet” responses a good few days after a sale’s gone through often with a bit of an undertone of if I should have known and me buying something has annoyed them. Why don’t they use holiday mode!? Oh, and the message from the seller that reads ‘can I help you’ after I’ve favourited something…
Anyhoo, that’s me done!
