Is there anyone on here who voted Labour who is genuinely happy with how things are going

I didn’t vote Labour, but was actually quite excited. We needed change, now I dint think that at all and although Tories weren’t great in many respects, this shit show feels worse! I’m so tired of our politicians just not doing what is best for the country and having to curtail to babk benchers/unions, lining their own pockets and wardrobes and generally just being untrustworthy.
i have no doubt Farage will get in next time, and it will be Keir’s fault.

Loads, I run one myself.

You’re against the grain then. Look at the CBI and hospitality U.K.

Elaborate please, do the CBI / Hospitality folk not want to pay people fair wages ?

1/3 are at risk of closure due revaluation. Going back to your pp it’s really not nefarious oligarchs but in this case Majorie who has been running a tea shop for 15 years and doesn’t want it to close, for example. Plenty of press on that in the last week.

CBI did a vg recent conference speech which you can read.

And then policies around benefit cap / digital ID which are not liked.

I can understand people advising Labour along the lines of your post but they really would be missing the everyday person and their feelings.

I think the hatred for Labour is driven by wealthy vested interests who own most of the regular media and social media, have vast capital available and want to ensure that inequality is maintained (“Conserved” perhaps), and seek to undermine our government in the interest of these oligarchs.

Some of that influence is domestic, but a lot of it is driven by oligarchs in both the US and Russia, paying their mouthpieces & political representatives in Britain.

Sadly it seems a large number of British people have been duped by this, and continue to be duped by this.

Nail on the head. It’s all about maintaining the status quo.

The CBI represent less that 2.5% of all businesses, many businesses quit the CBI because of sexual hounding of female staff by CBI directors.

Businesses had a rates holiday during the pandemic, they should have realised this wasn't going to last but because they didn't plan for that, there are changes coming in next April that will mean most hospitality businesses will see lower bills.
Another thing the Tories never bothered with funding, they just extended the holiday, never dealing with the issue.

On polling, i see Reform are down across a range of polls, just 7pts ahead of Labour/Tory.

I guess most Brits don't like Russian money

I'm happy with them but think they are awful at communicating what they do. Change takes time and the country's resources and infrastructure are in the pits.

They are doing good work in reducing NHS waiting times.

We have the fastest growing economy in the G7 and falling interest rates.

Immigration is down from 640k last year to 204k.

I think the farmer's inheritance tax and private school taxes were fair. The most budget hasn't benefitted us personally (both higher rate tax payers) but it has been received well by the markets.

I do wish they had managed the PIP and WFA reforms.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Can you say more about the policies that impact oligarchs rather than SMEs and middle earners?

eg NI policy, revaluation on hospitality, tax banding which doesn’t hit top rate and so on. Who is paying more?
