To wonder what on earth has happened to Stacey Solomon’s instagram?!

Hello.
I will preface this by saying that I do like Stacey, SYLO is a brilliant show.
However. Her instagram has become completely extraordinary recently - it’s constant selling for Amazon. One day it’s random Christmas decs, the next day it’s Oura rings. She was trying to flog a jetwash earlier this week!
She used to do crafty bits and easy recipes and show us lots of pics of her ducks and nice kitchen. But now it’s just incessant flogging of crap!

Each thing she shills seems to follow a certain pattern:

  1. here’s a thing she’s doing using an item while chatting. Item is front and centre but never mentioned.
  2. shortly after comes an update ‘so many of you are asking….here’s the amazon link
  3. she then tells us to keep it in our baskets for reasons, I don’t know.

Last night she was wittering on about making an Amazon storefront to load all her tat onto, whatever that is.

The formula is incessant. She can’t be short of money so why the change in direction and obsession with Amazon, I wonder? Aibu that it never used to be this blatantly sales-y?

I stopped following her because I was increasingly uncomfortable with how she uses her children. They can’t consent to the world watching them grow up.
it got to a point where I felt I saw her teenage son more than my own.
thanks for the explainer about the affiliate links

I don't understand how anyone can earn money from clicks when no purchase has been made 🤯

It has blown my mind too. At first when reading above I thought it was the seller selling the jet wash that was paying but assume it is the umbrella of Amazon.

Here's AI explaining it too

No, a person does not get paid just because you looked at a page or clicked their <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&rct=j&url=<a class="break-all" href="https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/&ved=2ahUKEwiqoZX69oORAxUoQ0EAHXLbLbkQy_kOegQIARAB&opi=89978449&cd&psig=AOvVaw1xuEuHMBtB0MtHTQDp18ng&ust=1763838061752000"" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">affiliate-program.amazon.com/&ved=2ahUKEwiqoZX69oORAxUoQ0EAHXLbLbkQy_kOegQIARAB&opi=89978449&cd&psig=AOvVaw1xuEuHMBtB0MtHTQDp18ng&ust=1763838061752000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Amazon affiliate link. Commissions are earned only when a qualifying purchase is made through that link.
Here is how the Amazon Associates Program compensation works:

  • No Pay Per Click (PPC) or View: Affiliates are not compensated for simply driving traffic (clicks or views) to Amazon. The program operates on a performance-based model focused strictly on completed sales.
  • Qualifying Purchases: An affiliate earns a commission only when a user clicks their unique link and buys a product.
  • The 24-Hour Window: Once you click an affiliate link, a "cookie" is dropped that tracks your activity for 24 hours. The affiliate gets a commission on any eligible items you purchase during that session, not just the specific product they linked to, provided the purchase happens within that 24-hour window (or if the item is added to the cart within 24 hours, the window extends to 90 days for that specific item).
  • Commissions Vary: The percentage earned (typically between 1% and 10% depending on the product category) is based on the final sale amount of the items purchased, not the number of clicks

I am so shocked at this.

Yes I noticed that she and her sister had gone on some free trip to the US with Amazon- for selling us plastic nonsense we don’t need and are getting into debt to buy. You’re right OP about the SYLO irony!

I presume she is trying to work from home more - ie less travelling to film stuff and being away from her little ones (very understandable) . But trying to replace those earnings by making us buy useless stuff when the rest of it don’t have outhouses on site to put it all
in: very unethical.

Smugzebra · 21/11/2025 19:04

I unfollowed her a while ago.
I used to think she was quite down to earth and relatable then I got fed up of all the perfect decor... Who the hell has time to put a full door decoration up for every season. I don't even know what they're called? Some kind of massive wreath that circles the entire door? Everything I saw was completely out of reach and it's a bit depressing for the average working class family. Don't begrudge her, good on her, but I'm too bitter and jealous to put up with seeing it 🤣 Everything she did was perfect and made by hand. Not got time, can't be arsed, not got the money.... Fed up of seeing it.

Youdontseehow · 21/11/2025 19:05

yeah - check out her sister and dad too - total family of grifters.

Stacey and her sister are not long back from an Amazon “influencer event” in Palm Springs. They are basically just sales people now. The “affiliate” thing is such a greedy cynical scam - SS in her giggly, breathy, “I’m just like you” narrative flogging stuff. One of her “favourites” was a ring that you wear instead of a smartwatch which cost hundreds of pounds. She “couldn’t be without it” then there’s a million before and after pics of her not wearing it.

If you really want the low down get yourself over to Tattle . Yes some of it is nasty but there’s also a lot of very informative posts explaining just how these “authentic” influencers just rinse their followers.

Gowlett · 21/11/2025 19:07

This is how they make their money.
Celebs aren’t just “rich” & that’s it…

Youdontseehow · 21/11/2025 19:10

“Everything she did was perfect and made by hand. Not got time, can't be arsed, not got the money.... Fed up of seeing it.”

errr no it’s not! She’s got a whole load of staff who help her so she can present this perfect life - just back from the school run and thought I’d make personalised Christmas tree decorations, bake loads of cookies for later, knock up a Christmas wreath, make honey from my bees and feed the ducks/hens/dogs before my first of 9 meetings at 10am.

Folk must really be tapped to swallow this shit.

YepIChangedMyNameForThis · 21/11/2025 19:12

Despite my head about to fall off at the knowledge, I also have to say I don't actually care 🤣
I only buy what I want to buy and as long as SS or other influencers don't increase the price I pay I'm not arsed - I quite like her.
I am just shocked at the everything in basket outcome.

Scuttling off to see how to become an affiliate and give up work and move into a mansion AND HAVE DUCKS.

Wonderlandpeony · 21/11/2025 19:14

Thank goodness I've never had any desire to look at her instagram.

I’ve noticed so many people I follow who were just ‘ordinary, more relatable’ people who were skint like the rest of us, all of a sudden sharing their favourite perfume on ‘offer’ for £150! Or this lovely white t-shirt, it was £270!!!! Just totally different from what they used to be. Lovely they’ve had success but £150 perfume or a £270 t-shirt is not relatable or the norm at all.

Same. I follow a woman who is renovating her house on a “budget”, in a video the other day she had a lamp that costs £1200!

YepIChangedMyNameForThis · 21/11/2025 19:18

@Youdontseehow I have just gone to Tattle, not sure why I haven't before, and apparently it is full but a member can send me an invite code. Could you possibly message a code to me? I mean, I do have a million things to be getting on with but quite fancy losing myself in some gossip please.

rogueherries · 21/11/2025 19:20

She’s intensely irritating. Every other advert on my YouTube at the moment is her advertising crappy jewellery for Christmas. I’m getting sick of hearing her voice.

Bootsineedboots · 21/11/2025 19:24

What happens if I click on her Amazon link, then someone else’s Amazon link? Who gets my money? Will they both have the same qualifying items?
I find this fascinating- I thought they either got money for clicks or sales of the items they were linking.

Sorry I’m not a member so I don’t have a code. I can read the threads but not comment - I just google “tattle life Stacey Solomon” and the threads show.

The most recent click overrides the others, so when Stacey and Jemma are sharing the same links, they’re in competition with each other!

Its just how these things play out

Shes made a killing being 'relatable' so much so that she is now no longer relatable 😭😭

Love her though

You’ve not lived lol. It’s fantastic. So much advice to make our lives better.

chattyness · 21/11/2025 19:28

I unfollowed her as well. I used to enjoy her content but I feel since she got the Stacey & Joe show a lot is being kept back for that and so now it's mostly adverts and showing off what she got for nowt. I don't watch the BBC so maybe I'm wrong, but the Insta stuff is very dull now. I was wondering what they dressed up for Halloween but she didn't show us like she normally would and barely mentioned it, label lady is going the same way as well, sell sell sell, push, push, push, unfollowed her as well, it's so boring & grifty.

CrackSpackle · 21/11/2025 19:29

You sure you’re looking at the right Instagram account? I don’t see ANY selling or links

How can you love such a two faced person though? I’d honestly rather she admitted her wealth and showed us her living a charmed life than the lies she peddles.

she had the gall last week to give away some freebies from Space NK because she “doesn’t deserve them” - well yeah Stacey, you’re advertising them (fully funded business class trip the Las Vegas and meeting with Adele anyone) so you actually have earned them,

I hate these kind of grifters.

She isn’t hiding her wealth… it’s clear to see. And you are clearly following her so why bother if you hate her? It doesn’t make you better than her

Cookies. The next time you buy something from Amazon (within 30 days I think) she gets a commission.

Franjipanl8r · 21/11/2025 19:38

Read the new book “enshitification”, it starts off talking about Amazon and how corrupt their business model is. Everyone’s drawn into a vortex of its shittiness, obviously Stacey Solomon has been sucked in!

Cookies. They sit on your phone and report back to her insta Amazon and it’s all linked up.
