My 18 month old just licked one of his big sisters Crayola silly scents felt tip in blue.. now his tounge is blue.

we’ve scrubbed his tounge with his tooth brush and he’s drunk a big bottle of milk..

i want to call toxicity help like but my husband says I’m being unreasonable because ChatGPT and the Crayola website say they’re non-toxic and I’m wasting peoples time when the information is online.

am I being over dramatic haha

Not dc but the dog ate a whole box of them and had rainbow poo for days.

Edited

Reminds me of our dog when he ate a J cloth- there was a trail of poo bobbles strung together!

I won’t post the same pointless comments as the others.. they won’t be harmful but I completely understand your worry as anything not made to be edible contains chemicals etc so of course you’ll question it. Luckily they are non toxic as toddlers always eat and lick things they shouldn’t so he’ll be fine. Just keep an eye on his nappies and give lots of water or milk. No worry should be ridiculed, you’re a normal mum having a concern so I’m sorry the perfect mum brigade took their chance to be rude.

Think all my kids have actually eaten crayons tbh.. let alone just liked them.
They are all completely fine.
As long as your child is not choking or vomiting or having any kind of reaction like rash or swelling, breathing difficulties.. basically if your child looks completely well then I really would not bother yourself about this at all

MarxistMags · 20/11/2025 02:03

Indeed you are !

JustMe2026 · 20/11/2025 03:09

All that over a crayon, wait till he swallows pennies or sticks bits up his nose lol

HelpMeGetThrough · 20/11/2025 06:02

He’s going to shit like an alien for a couple of days, other than that, he’ll be fine.

Your child will be fine. You may have some interesting nappies. My DD1 once ate a large handful of glitter glue. Fabulous poos for days. She's 24 now and none the worse.

Deep breath, cuppa, relax. Being a first time parent is hard.

This sounds spectacular. Ah parenting is fun.

I've been lickin 'em bigly for years, and I'm just fine. My favorite is blackcurrent and those yellor ones. Love 'em.

I also suck those marker pens - they're good.
But the best, I'm thinking, is that French / Polish stuff, I think it's called French Polish. Makes you're tongue go brown - but then I look like one of my subordinates!

Londonrach1 · 21/11/2025 19:33

Lol. Honestly just her yourself a cup of tea and relax...

JohnTheRevelator · 21/11/2025 19:38

I would be highly surprised if a Crayola pen designed for children to use,is toxic!

I'm guessing that this is your first child. Kids will eat far worse and be fine than trying to eat a Crayola felt tip.

My 18 month old just licked one of his big sisters Crayola

A kid in my dd's class used to eat gluesticks. Regularly. He's now a strapping young man about town so it seems he got away with it.
