I’ve just bought myself a Malteasers Truffle one. What about you?

Oh God the Neuhaus one looks divine!

None this year for me, I've had beauty ones a few times as Christmas presents but trying to use up what stuff I have at the moment.

Hillarious · 18/11/2025 23:46

I make the advent calendars for my kids and niece and nephew. Once they’d started getting the chocolate ones it felt like we just had lots of empty sweet wrappers lying around by Christmas Eve. I just wrap small chocolates individually, and maybe some other Christmas gifts such as socks or a Christmas decoration or a Christmas jigsaw for the immediate run up to Christmas Day.

Fortnum and Mason’s tea calendar. The £35 one, not the crazy price one. I’m really looking forwards to it.

In the last few years I’ve had Angela Harding ones and they are absolutely beautiful.

Thames &Kosmos EXIT Escape room one - we get one every year. Only the first door is numbered and each day has some sort of puzzle to solve that tells you which door to open next.

Love that idea.

M&S Where's Wally - I like that there's a daily thing to find (inside the window is a small figure from the picture on the front for you to find).

justasking111 · 19/11/2025 00:13

I've bought a traditional religious one. You open the day and there's a little Bible story inside. I'm going to put it on the hall table with the Nativity figures we have.

None, I'm an adult.

As a household we have a Degusta food advent calendar. It’s huge!

HoobleDooble · 19/11/2025 00:22

DH & DS have Chocolate Orange ones and I've got a Twinings teabags one

I bought the Amazon beauty one. when it was cheap on pre-order. I actually wanted the l'occitane one but the price of it this year is ridiculous.

Was looking for the Bonne Maman calendar for DH but not sold in this country. Damn it.

InLoveWithAI · 19/11/2025 01:09

I got the latest in beauty one (I think!?) it was a bargain on tiktok shop, with 30% off, and then a free latest in beauty box worth a fortune with it! I've been on a no buy for 18 months and my skincare is low, so tbh it's a good buy. As most of it is full size.

Also getting a laithwaites wine calendar, for my husband.

MooDengOfThailand · 19/11/2025 01:09

Stitchfinity.
It’s a cross stitch one that I treat myself to every year.
Every day you get a bit more of the pattern to sew. Always Christmas themed. Last year were napkin rings with embroidered napkins. Year before was a really cute little gingerbread house. I love that it makes me give myself some time every day to do something I enjoy.

I wish I'd known about that before my strokes. If I ever regain proper use of my right hand, I'll definitely give that a go!!

Coffee people.... can you help?

id love a coffee advent calendar, but...

I drink latte, not espresso/americano

I have a sage barista machine (grinds the beans) but I don't see how 18gm bean sachets would work as it takes a while to get the grind right for different beans?!

[I could buy pre ground (but that takes away from the lovely smell of grinding the beans) and previously I've been given & bought pre ground & it hasn't been right for my machine]

Wildthingsinthecarpet · 19/11/2025 02:24

I'd love a gin one, but worry that after having a drink every day in December I'll find the habit impossible to break!

So thinking of getting the tiny Lindt teddies ones instead.

I'm amazed reading this thread.
I honestly don't think I know an adult with an advent calendar unless it's a cheap chocolate one that their parents still buy as a family tradition.

youalright · 19/11/2025 07:29

I wasn't going to bother this year but all this talk about a biscoff one is making me re-evaluate my life choices

🙄 I wondered how long it would be before someone came to along with a comment like this. Merry Christmas to you too...
