It seems it is completely up to the discretion of the school. So many on here said they would 100% have to assess me, they were sure to remove the bursary, my stepson would be shown the door… none of this happened.

You seemed pretty clear they were the school bursary rules, that’s why.
It’s interesting that it’s completely discretionary, as they do normally have rules to retain the integrity of the bursary pot.

According to the school that was the rules, I’ve no idea why they didn’t honour that in the first place (they assessed it based on my DP and his ex, not any ‘household’). Then, when I refused to provide my details and DP had a meeting with them, they then said it is ultimately at the Head’s discretion what happens with bursaries.

Result! 😁
