Boyfriend sent me a video

I've started to date a new guy (he's not my boyfriend) and he sent me a video which was supposed to be taken at 6am in the morning (he sent it late afternoon).

It was taken when he was in bed (no not sexual) and what caught my eye is that it was light outaide. The light was shining on the TV screen in his room. He has those office type blinds vertical style.

The video was black and white in style, so it wasn't bright in the room, I just find it bizarre the winwod were so bright.

He stated his son woke him up at 6am and he took a video of him singing. I just found it weird the windows looked so bright.

Is it really bright at 6am? I thought it wasn't bright until 7ish.

(He is staying he's tired from being up early etc and can't meet, which is fine but it looks so bright outside that I instantly thought the video wasnt taken at night. I've just got a feeling it's not quite right)

Anyone up at 6am and van confirm on the room brightness

Well maybe it wasnt exactly 6am? I sometimes say things like, I have been up since 5am, when in fact it was 5.45. But still in the 5am timezone, so might as well be 5am in my book.
I wouldn't exprct anyone to pick apart the exact time like that.
It could bave been 6.50am, his room might be facing the rising sun.
You are way over thinking it.

its all sounds nuts and unhealthy, but black and white and alter and low light can look brighter against a darker interior. It was light when I woke at 6.30 this morning.

She said he's done other things bar the light issue in the video but won't reveal what they are?

OP, ignore the stupid replies. I think your post was hard to understand for some. Basically he sent you a video saying he was woken by his son singing at 6am? It was light outside so I clearly wasn’t 6am as it’s dark at 6am. He’s using his son waling him up early as an excuse not to see you?

Your gut is telling you he is lying and making up excuses. Your gut is probably right…..it usually is. He doesn’t want to see you today.

I think she later edited the original post to say that he was using it as an excuse to not see her - don't recall it originally saying this.

Think you’ve done the right thing by blocking him. You’ve followed your gut instinct that telling you things weren’t right and you won’t need to waste any more time and energy on him now. It’s always so important to trust our gut!

If so, I think you can join the police as a civilian investigator these days.

Although I’m a little unclear what this actually shows? That his blinds aren’t very good? That his video was taken slightly later than he suggested? Why would he want to fake that?

he Might well have been up 6am but taken the picture a little later. Next you’ll be saying he doesn’t look tired. I would take him at his word unless he has form for lying.

Evidently @HedwigEliza can read. How rude. Your post was unclear and odd. Your bf-not-a-bf sent you a picture so you need to know how light it is at 6a.m.
What do you suspect him of, exactly? Was some heinous crime committed at 6a.m. and the video is his alibi? Anything less than that and you're creating a drama out of nothing.

I don’t understand, you have strong doubts about him, you think he’s lying about things, he’s going hot and cold and you’re not even in a relationship - just end it.

If you think he’s lying and it bothers you then whatever he’s lying about, you should probably call it a day. Second guessing and not trusting him will eat away at you. And your relationship with him. It’ll go badly and be a total waste of your time and his.
