To be surprised Andrew has lost his Prince title

I certainly think this is absolutely the right decision. But this has all been swept under the carpet for a long time with the usual head in the sand approach. If makes me think there might be more to come out. This wasn't just going to go away.

I'm sure this will come as a shock to Camilla.

Camilla is Queen Consort, even though she is styled as Queen Camilla.

Duechristmas · 30/10/2025 22:10

We just said the same. It wouldn't have happened when it was his mother but now it's his brother, Charles knows the truth and is more interested in doing the right thing than upsetting the establishment. It's a strong move.

Cautionsharpblade · 30/10/2025 22:16

The rapist formerly known as Prince

Luckyingame · 30/10/2025 21:08

I thought if you were born a Prince, that was it.
I mean, Prince has effed up big time, would a Doctor also cease being a Doctor? Just thinking it over, for what it's worth. The King definitely can
(and did) take his brother's title away.

This,in buckets.

Thisisnotmyid · 30/10/2025 22:18

I agree it needed to be done but I too am massively shocked. It’s unfortunately his birthright and I didn’t know that title could be forced from him

PaddlingSwan · 30/10/2025 22:45

Trial by media is extremely unattractive as well as being undemocratic.
All allegations were and continue to be denied.
Two of the protagonists are dead.
The UK is in a mess, so why not try American diversion tactics to draw public attention away from the real issues and the imminent budget?
The whole thing is suspect.
If there were any real, tangible evidence, other than heresay, there might be a case to be made, but for what now?
Read Andrew Lownie's book, there is nothing new in it that has not been reported by the press in the past. There is also a very glaring error, that nobody has mentioned, but is easily verifiable. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were not bridesmaids for the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh in 1999. If you make such an assertion, that is easily checked, why should anyone believe anything else you write?
Sh*t stirring.

Allseeingallknowing · 30/10/2025 22:48

Following the removal of the Duke of York title, this latest move seems very quick to follow - I wonder why! More shocks to follow?

MaDugsAFud · 30/10/2025 23:01

It’s very…. Sudden, I bet anything there’s more to come out

I was also wondering if he is being blackmailed by somebody very close to him…… was very interested to hear about the demand for two houses.

MaDugsAFud · 30/10/2025 23:03

Yeah I mean fergie. She will know everything and I can’t help now wondering if this is why they’ve been glued together for so long. She’s leeching him.

Completely agree.

The outrage is too big and can’t be stopped.
And I think it was in a way a self preservation act on Palace’s side.

His "birthright" has correctly been shown to be a completely meaningless concept. No one is better than anyone else simply by virtue of their birth. Enough of this silliness.

Personally I think Princess Anne should've been made Queen instead of Charles as King.
I think she'd do a better job!

She wouldn't have wanted it - and, more to the point, hadn't spent her life preparing for it, as Charles had.

My account was deleted without even a warning or notice years ago, because I said some members of the RF should be in prison 🤷‍♀️ and had to apologise to have my account restored. So odd.

Don't worry, I had even more bizzare experience here with admins who seem to find ok if somebody says that in the provincial France people are racists.....

Prince Andrew has denied knowing Virginia Giuffre or having any sexual contact with her.

Then the photos emerged....

Later, in 2022, he settled Giuffre’s civil lawsuit in the U.S. out of court without admitting liability or guilt. The settlement included a substantial undisclosed payment to Giuffre and a statement in which Andrew said he regretted his association with Jeffrey Epstein and praised Giuffre’s courage but did not admit any wrongdoing.

And he still denies allegation. 😂😂. The undisclosed payment was probably for his innocence 😂

MN has just deleted a thread about it, apparently its against MN guidelines to speak out against rapists.

He’s not been convicted of any crime - and Virginia Guiffre didn’t accuse him of that.

You may object to the ‘silliness’, but this is a matter of law. The King cant just strip him of his titles. Andrew cant give it up voluntarily, either, even if he wanted to! It’s not actually possible. So the law would have to be changed.

Quite.
And that's probably why they got rid of his title, as he was exposing the sheer idiocy of the monarchy
Although Epstein's other chum, DT, is doing the same job for republics I guess

It's irrelevant
He will still live in luxury on the Sandringham estate at taxpayers expense

Yes I’d rather see him in a 1 bed flat. However don’t kid yourself he will be absolutely savage and horrified, it’s most likely the worst punishment having his status removed and the lease cancelled he can think off.

Seriously deluded.

I was very surprised to read this as well and I absolutely think it’s in reaction to some news about to come out or some measures to be taken against him.

@Vaxtable
Andrew swore he’d help the police and FBI and there was nothing stopping him going to court . Yet he did nothing of the sort .

Re the fuss over this announcement my first thought is , why now?

Does this statement from Charles mean the House of Commons will not now be debating and examining the rest of the Windsors and the Crown estate?

if so then it is nothing to celebrate.
It’s more cover ups

Edited

Yes. I bet they have acted sharpish now because of the wider risk of Parliament being forced to debate their wider finances. Despite passing the buck and handwringing about how difficult it was when actually it didnt seem that difficult at all. He can still evade his day in court and can still evade the FBI so ' innocent until proven guilty only goes so far.

Except the diversionary tactics are intended to keep the RF safe from scruitiny. The budget will be all over the papers. It is debated in Parliament. As if stripping titles, and with them the entire fiction of people being born to rule is being used to divert from a twice yearly event!

If you accept a Monarchy you accept the eldest child of the eldest child will be monarch, like it or not. Unless the Monarch is a secret traitor, in which case you find a convenient ( commoner) woman to pin it on when you have to get rid, and hide the fact that the family ' born to rule' has yet again produced an unsuitable person to be Head of State for about 100 years. If youre going to pick and choose it makes no sense to have a pool of 2,3,4 people to choose from.

MouldyCandy · 31/10/2025 01:32

Do you think either he or Sarah will appear on Strictly next year? Or the celeb jungle?
