Should I be worried about what Uber Delivery Man said to me tonight

Hello everyone
I have a Mercedes Car on my driveway but with a Wheel Clamp on it, DD ordered a Delivery with Uber, I answered the door and the Uber Man said to me can I ask you something I said yes then he said is the Wheel Clamp on your Mercedes Car safe I said why are you asking and he said to me just want to know if the Wheel Clamps are safe for security reasons as I want one for my Car.
Just felt very strange for a Uber Delivery Man to ask me if that and I’m now wondering if he wanted to know if he was up to something.

I’d take it that he was just asking if you thought it was worth him getting one for his car.

We have a Mercedes but not a swimming pool as the pony can’t swim😏 nor, I’m sad to say, a musical bidet (classical of course🧐) 😢

Well at least Uber Delivery Man didn't say "Bloody hell missus , is the security system on your Mercedes Car so shite that you need to whack a manking great yellow wheel clamp on it"?

Do you mean steering wheel locks? Isn’t the OP talking about a clamp on one of the car’s wheels?

Wheel clamps sound a right pain, I don’t want to have kneel on the ground and get dirty hands when I’m about to leave for work.

He might not have had the opportunity to ask the owner about it.

first thing I think when I see a wheel clamp is it’s in taxed or being repossessed
so he was probably boarded on digging for info being nosey and making conversation
as wheel clamps are unusual

whilst mercs are nice cars there no longer top of the tree as an impressive status symbol they used to be so my 1st thought wouldn’t be I thought he’s trying to pinch it

Maybe he was doing this thing called “making conversation”. It’s something we used to do in the old days.
