You literally couldn’t make this shit up.

This country is broken.

Reform should send David Lamey a big thankyou note for this gift.

The stats show the rate of offending from those communities is higher. Their cultures view women negatively. So the risk of girls and women being attacked (which unarguably already exists in the risk of being attacked by native men) increases with immigration.

One camp (left) thinks local women should accept this risk (be kind) and suck it up for the good of the blameless immigrants.

The other camp (right) would rather prejudice blameless immigrants to protect local women.

Why can’t there be a group that thinks what happened to Rhiannon isn’t worth it and a new system is required, or the system scrapped. It doesn’t have to be either of these two.

I want the UK to accept asylum seekers. I want the system to be reformed to make it safer and more efficient for everyone.
(I can't believe I need to say this, but) I don't want anyone to be raped, or otherwise harmed.

Well, until the UK can figure out a way to accept male asylum seekers without admitting murderers and rapists, they should just halt letting in men. I bet there are plenty of women, children and families from different countries who need asylum as much as all the "young men".

Even more so, I would think.

Well if that amazing middle solution were possible don’t you think the government would have done it? They haven’t in all these years so currently sadly only those two options (immigrants v women) are available.

Not at all otherwise other countries wouldn’t have managed it.

Everyone who is saying “women will get raped and murdered either way” needs to give their head a wobble.

I got raped by a white man who spiked my drink and raped me whilst I didn’t know what was going on. Thankfully, I’ve only ever been raped once. More rapists in the country gives me more chance of being raped again, which isn’t something I particularly want. Not everybody lives in a leafy West London suburb and drives to the other end of their leafy suburb in their Range Rover for their 9-5 job to make a living before being safely tucked in at home watching Netflix by the time the sun sets. Some of us work minimum wage jobs and commute on a bus in dodgy areas at midnight and get sexually harassed on a daily basis. Some of us live in flats and you might have a single young mother with a baby who’s just escaped their abusive partner but then the person who just moved in to the flat next to her could be a rapist from god know’s where not that you’d know it because they haven’t been vetted, but who cares, she’d been abused by a bloke before so she’s used to it.

Edited

The thing is they are in the leafy suburbs as well.

it’s very worrying and the government are not dealing with the situation

matresense · 25/10/2025 07:51

@CorneliaCupp

do you accept that a young bloke who has already claimed in Germany and Italy and failed is probably higher risk and lower need? If so, why should we be taking him rather than instant deportation?

HansHolbein · 25/10/2025 07:51

Lifesd · 25/10/2025 06:34

You will find a lot of the supporters will never encounter this sort of experience because they are tucked away in their leafy enclaves shouting about racism without having to deal of any of these lived realities.

Oh they will. It will be in the Home Counties soon. They’ll soon change their tune.

MyLimeGuide · 25/10/2025 07:53

sunshinestar1986 · 25/10/2025 06:36

So the girls who get abused by their dads
Who should we blame?
All dads?
Let's not let girls live with their Dad's?
Or how about men?
Should women and girls live in a seperate world to men and older boys?
That's the only way that all girls will be safe right?
I mean you can't even rely on the police
We've seen what happened to Sarah

So one policeman was a criminal now they all are???!!!

If people have been refused asylum in other European countries, why should they be allowed to claim in the UK?

I wish people like her would check their privilege. I don’t like being lectured by people who dwell in leafy Hampstead and similar. They need to get out of their bubble.

Luxury beliefs. The ones telling everyone else to be kind and check their privilege are really showing that they are more privileged than anyone.

TheaBrandt1 · 25/10/2025 08:05

Was the same with the Emma Watson style “let men into single sex spaces you bigoted meanies” syndrome safe in the knowledge they themselves wont be personally affected 🙄.

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 24/10/2025 19:45

the risk of one rapist is not worth one consultant.

There are so many immigrants working in the NHS, in all disciplines and legally. We would be lost without them.

We need to vet people better, and need to be careful who we let in. Because we do benefit from working, skilled immigration and don’t want to throw away the baby with the bath water.

AngelinaFibres · 25/10/2025 08:14

ColinOfficeTrolley · 24/10/2025 18:41

2 women a week in the UK alone are murdered by men they know.

Are you up in arms about that?

Women will get murdered and raped daily whether illegal immigrants are here or not.

I agree that immigration is a massive issue, but let's not pretend women and girls would be safe if all male asylum seekers disappeared tomorrow.

Wouldn't it be nice if they all did disappear though. Straight back to France. Bye bye

TheaBrandt1 · 25/10/2025 08:15

People are talking about unskilled illegal immigrants arriving unvetted on boats not legal immigrants arriving through the system to fill jobs in the nhs.

No we wouldn’t be lost without them. We’d have to train the millions of welfare claimants here.

Mass immigration to fill jobs in whole sectors is a choice. A choice to cut corners and suppress wages for the local population.

I thought the far left Marxist ‘open borders brigade’ would be most opposed to declining wages for their comrades. But they seem to have found that virtue signalling on woke issues takes less effort than actually advocating for the workers.

My daughter’s first Neurological Consultant was from Sudan. He has done some groundbreaking research on headaches in children and adolescents and has helped thousands of children. I’m glad he is here. Sadly retired now.

If only they were all like him we wouldn't have a problem would we?

Indeed. Did he come across on a small boat with no identification? Unlikely. I suspect that his medical school credentials were evident, and he came legally, on a visa. There are many thousands like him, and they are a positive asset to society. It's really not comparable at all.

Reform are not in government so can’t exactly do a lot. I don’t know why everyone keeps expecting them to do the job of our current government instead of asking what Starmer and Co are up to.

Perhaps because nobody cares any longer what Starmer & Co are up to, we just want him to Fuck Off.

Right...so your tone has changed as this thread has progressed.
Initially I was with you - against illegal immigrants crossing over illegally and claiming asylum. This has become a farce.

But really your angle is ...no legal immigrants at all?

TonTonMacoute · 24/10/2025 19:57

I'm so fucking fed up of this argument.

All it's saying we have a problem with male violence against women already so it doesn't matter if we give free access to women to even more men from other countries? Is that what you are saying?

No. Not at all. I'm saying that nobody gives a flying fuck about VAWG unless the perp is not white or British.

White British men make up the MAJORITY of people who commit heinous acts EVERY SINGLE DAY in this country. Rape, murder, violence against women and girls they know.

There are no protests about this.

Yes - there is an illegal immigration issue.

Yes - I agree unvetted men should not be allowed to wander round freely in communities

But where are all the protests against violent horrific crimes that happen EVERY SINGLE DAY to women and girls.

Some people reform voters only seem to care about non-white VAWG

I care, I care a lot about the fact that we have a criminal justice system that routinely allows men to commit appalling acts of violence against women and still walk free.

I don’t think that comes in conflict with also not wanting additional men who we being allowed to commit appalling acts of violence against women.

Everything I’ve seen on mumsnet in the last week has convinced me that women are also complicit in ignoring violence against girls and women. As long as they see the perpetrators as a victim in some way.

I don’t care what colour an offender is, the way I see it is we are stuck with the british ones and we need to build more prisons to accommodate them. We are actively choosing to take the ones who are not british.

Low paid legal migration is irrational when we have millions of welfare dependents not working in this country. Why bring in people who need taxpayer support while we are already subsidizing people who could do those jobs. Thats a triple whammy.

Legal immigration should be limited to net contributing migrants. Especially since we have 25 years of open borders and half the population in this country now being net takers.

I suspect your angle is anyone questioning anything about immigration is racist? Because you’re not interested in logic or rationale, or things are paid for, or that borrowing and printing money to subsidize people is leading this country to a financial disaster, you’re driven by blind ideology. If you weren’t, you’d know that financial implications of low skilled immigration are dire for this country.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this was a set-up and someone has been paid to ensure that this guy goes free. Optics are great for reform and it just seems remarkable that this person who caused so much hassle in Epping is now back out there. Works to a right-wing narrative. When this is investigated I bet it’ll turn out that money ch aged hands to ensure he was able to escape.
