Rather than focusing on whether or not to take refugees, we should simply stop and instead our main priority should be to stop creating refugees.

The UK gets involved in ridiculous wars and conflicts that have nothing to do with us, and then we act surprised when people flee those areas.

Stop taking refugees, and stop bombing other countries.

I agree that we seriously need to review our asylum systems and processes, but simply saying that we will not accept any refugees at all is in direct contravention of international law.

If we didn’t allow any of them in and sent them straight back, we’d save even more. Plus a girl in Epping wouldn’t have been assaulted, and a receptionist wouldn’t have been murdered.

It's the same people who champion things like 'teach men not to rape!', i e. the 'it's all just culture' model of sexual violence who believe that there's no correlation whatsoever between the culture a sexually abusive man comes from and the extent and kind of danger he might pose to women and girls. It makes no sense as a worldview

Absolutely agree. We see constant reported attacks by immigrants on women and young girls on a daily basis in the UK. And my guess is that there’s many more low level attacks, ie verbal/inappropriate actions that don’t get reported. Women have fought for decades to get recognition that we are equal to men, and to get respect and an equal playing field. We still aren’t there yet, but these men come from countries where it’s okay to force a child into marrying an adult male, where men can have as many wives as they wish, but a woman gets arrested and punished, often killed, for adultery, where the women are not allowed to work and need to cover themselves from head to toe and walk ten paces behind their husband, where women are physically abused every day with no recourse, and it’s starting to impact women who live in this country not being safe. These men have been raised from birth to treat women like this, and the Government should be deporting them immediately, together with all who ‘lose’ their ID papers in obvious attempts to hide their history.
