You literally couldn’t make this shit up.

This country is broken.

Reform should send David Lamey a big thankyou note for this gift.

Makes you wonder what these people’s motives are. Can’t be anything good.

It does make you wonder the motives, but weirdly there are so many whatabout merchants around.

CorneliaCupp · 24/10/2025 21:22

What is the point of this post op? You're not engaging in discussion, dismissing any post that doesn't agree with your point of view, giving no evidence to back up anything you say.
What are you hoping to achieve? I can't see how anything can change at all until you actually engage in facts, not hyperbole.

Of course the thread has a point, to discuss the current news and impact on women and girls generally

I hate the but white British men argument. Yeah we know there are a lot of shitty men but they were born here unfortunately we cannot stop them entering or just deport them. Sadly. We do need to lock them up so we should build more prisons frankly and they shouldn’t be allowed cosy with Xbox and shit either. Rehabilitation just doesn’t work as well as people like to believe even petty thief’s tend to be straight back doing it once out, and that’s when they have done enough for the police to bother arresting them. Let alone wife beaters and rapist.

But women and children must clearly also be sacrificed to the asylum seeking men who are running away from well clearly themselves when they come over claiming for safety and then go on to sexually assault harass and murder innocent women and children. Why are these men with no checks really just allowed to wonder around freely why are these men not kept in detention centres till their cases are fully heard…

But we are not allowed to voice opinions on that are we. The very men running for fear are the very men inciting fear in another country.

Bring over the women and children and the men can fight themselves leaving women and children safe from the violence they inflict.

Yes, I also hate the 'but white British men' argument. I think these men have already shown their true colours by fucking off and leaving their women in some hell hole.
What we need is some sort of underground railway to rescue the women and little kids from these places and get them to safety. The men can all fuck off back and sort their country out until its safe for the women to return.

When was the last time a prisoner was released by mistake?

Surely that's a fairly rare occurrence?

But the op isn't doing that. She is dismissing any post that disagrees with her, she isn't engaging in discussion.

What this tells you is that this is a regular occurrence, we’re only hearing about it because this guy was the cause of Epping protests.

It doesn't tell us that at all.

It's pure assumption.

Spooky2000 · 24/10/2025 21:26

EasternStandard · 24/10/2025 21:10

Yes perhaps the pp will specify which system

I can't. Privileged information. I know that sounds like a copout, but it's true, and I can assure you that systems in place pre-Brexit which provided some information are now inaccessible to the UK. What can I say; we have to take asylum seekers at their 'word' and then show they're not being honest. :shrug

IMustDoMoreExercise · 24/10/2025 21:26

WildLimePoet · 24/10/2025 18:48

Like PP said, the ‘one in, one out, one back again’ scheme seems to be falling apart. Net result being we are actually bringing more asylum seekers in.

And now sexual offending asylum seekers just walk out or prison.

What this tells you is that this is a regular occurrence, we’re only hearing about it because this guy was the cause of Epping protests.

This country is run by clowns. Both government and authorities.

I agree with you but there is nothing stopping you running as an MP and running the country yourself. It is very easy to criticize. Why don't you do something about it?

Looks like about 80 a year, based on my very minimal research!

ninjahamster · 24/10/2025 18:33

The fact he was an asylum seeker is irrelevant.
The issue here is that a prisoner was released incorrectly.

How is it irrelevant? I am getting sick and tired of new story everyday
why are you not sick and tired?

JudgeJ · 24/10/2025 21:27

AmyDudley · 24/10/2025 18:23

They were men who committed crimes, the BBC doesn't actually have to say they are asylum seekers. Far more men who are not asylum seekers commit crimes against women every day. They aren't reported as 'man who a born and bred in UK commits crime'. why not ?

And David Lammy is hardly personally responsible for a mistale by a prison ( a prison system the tories had more than enough time to reform but did nothing about.)

But the home grown criminals don't have the advantage of so many people defending their 'rights'. I tend to take the view that were I to offer somewhere to live to someone who claimed they were in danger etc then they abused my hospitality they would be out of the door immediately.

TheNuthatch · 24/10/2025 21:27

There is nothing to disagree with. An asylum seeker who was convicted of sexual assault has been mistakenly released. He is now walking the streets. What is there for the op to prove?

JustSawJohnny · 24/10/2025 21:27

This country is run by clowns. Both government and authorities.

Cus the whole Tory shitshow (you know, the ones who started this whole hotel mess) didn't happen?

Come on now.

This isn't a new situation.

Bringemout · 24/10/2025 21:29

In recent weeks it’s become really clear to me that there are a lot of women on these boards who prioritise men over female safety.

The argument I see over and over again is that the UK has loads of perverts why worry about a few more. Every single victim of sexual crime is someone who is going to be permanently altered by the experience, anxiety, ptsd, fear. It can blight someones life permanently.

The number of people I see on here who are more worried about not being “racist” than the actual wellbeing of girls and women actually astounds me. It is not racist to suggest that men (and we all agree that men are the problem here) who we cannot vet may possibly be a risk. Especially when I hear the “I didn’t know it was wrong to rape a teenager” over and over again. No-one starts out the life of criminality by stabbing someone 23 times, thats more like an end point. If you come to the Uk legally I assume we expect you to provide information from your home country on your criminal record. We cannot do that in most of these cases.

It relevant because he was claiming asylum yet committed a crime. Sadly we can't get rid of homegrown criminals, ones like this we should.

EasternStandard · 24/10/2025 21:12

No you countered with some argument about Reform. @TheNuthatchis right, there isn’t a system that checks. Pre Brexit or for other countries still in.

I didn't, I asked a question: Do you think Reform or anyone else mentioned as part of the referendum that we wouldn't have access to certain systems that would provide this information, should we leave. I think you're picking a fight tbh, so you can have this one if it makes you feel better :)

Why do Germany, France and ROI suffer similar male violence if they have access to those systems?

You might be aware of recent crimes. Can you say why they have the same and still within the EU?

There have been threads on here before where these women have said openly that women getting raped in this country is a price we must pay for being the ‘open, inclusive’ country we are.

This madness is out of control.

The UK has really declined in the last ten years or so. It has become a real shit show; the cost of living crisis; all the homeless people around Charing Cross; the lawlessness; the dirty streets; and overpaid politicians who have totally lost touch. I don't recall it ever being this bad (maybe late 70s but I was a child).

Spooky2000 · 24/10/2025 21:31

EasternStandard · 24/10/2025 21:17

It’s easy to see there’s no system outside the EU. It’s why there are also horrific crimes in EU countries of a similar nature.

Eg the Taliban don’t share information, it’s not asked for and they probably don’t even have it.

Oh, there's information available alright. Or, there was.

Was he not going to be deported once he had completed his sentence?

I voted Remain and I don’t care what they said. I’m asking you to specify as I’m interested in what those systems are and why other countries still suffer from similar male violence.

This isn't a new situation.

It's not the right who are encouraging the world and his wife to come here for an easy life nor is it the right who are desperate for them to stay. Unfortunately as has already been noted, the left are the biggest recruiters for Reform and then they complain.
