You literally couldn’t make this shit up.

This country is broken.

Reform should send David Lamey a big thankyou note for this gift.

No, they'd have raped and killed in a different country, so different women would have suffered. I'm not sure that makes things better for the world overall.

This is a new one. So that these men don’t rape women in other countries, we must save those women but opening up our borders. Ok then.

As my last line says @EasternStandard - there is no arguing with stupid.

Oh dear is everyone in your opinion stupid who doesn’t agree with you.
Its a shame you think you are so right about everything.

Starmer calls them illegal regularly on his SM. He's an ex human rights lawyer and former DPP. He should know.

Starmer has talked about illegal migrants. People who have no right to be here. Those are not asylum seekers. Those are a different group of people, ones who have over stayed a visa, or who have entered the country and disappeared. Asylum seekers are no illegal migrants, according to the law.

So we get rid of the 5% and just live with the 95%. Got it. I’m so glad people are doing all they can to protect women from 5% of something and letting the 95% just get on with it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think you're jumping ahead a bit there. The 95% is of course too high. But why increase the number even higher with the arrival of thousands undocumented men?

EarthSight · 24/10/2025 21:02

AmyDudley · 24/10/2025 18:23

They were men who committed crimes, the BBC doesn't actually have to say they are asylum seekers. Far more men who are not asylum seekers commit crimes against women every day. They aren't reported as 'man who a born and bred in UK commits crime'. why not ?

And David Lammy is hardly personally responsible for a mistale by a prison ( a prison system the tories had more than enough time to reform but did nothing about.)

No, but this is the sort of thinking that silences women and makes them feel like they can't name cultural things that might be relevant about their perpetrators.

TheNuthatch · 24/10/2025 21:03

Spooky2000 · 24/10/2025 21:01

Well, it can't be done atm, because after Brexit, rights the UK had to systems to check were withdrawn. Did Reform neglect to mention that?

Reform aren't in government, and this thread is not about Reform.
Do you think the taliban prosecute and keep records of sexual assaults against women?

Noodledog · 24/10/2025 21:03

PreciousTatas · 24/10/2025 20:07

Some nationalities are convicted of some crimes at a disproportionate rate. You cannot extrapolate they are more likely to commit the crime without looking at everything that happens up to that point. You first need to take into account the institutional racism of the police

With all due respect. Bollocks.

Perhaps you don't understand, as someone who had to flee a country where women have no value, let me enlighten you.

Unaccompanied women and children are there to be raped. If their men don't look after their possessions then they are considered a worthless whore. If a woman is raped and admits it she will most likely be killed, if she survived the attack in the first place. If her husband and family are very kind she will just be shunned and outcast. Women have no rights. Children are disposable.

My father fled with us because he didn't want that life for his wife and daughters. I am beyond grateful to have been able to grow up safely here and given opportunities I would never have been. My elderly mother in increasingly worried that our homelands problems are being imported wholesale to the UK.

If you genuinely believe that men come from countries where women are seen as nothing, and suddenly start acting like women are equal, you are incredibly naive, and stupid.

I have much better things to be doing than writing on a forum about asylum seekers. Good luck with your comments on the internet, sure it’ll be absolutely life changing stuff.

Huh? 10 pages in and multiple posts writing about asylum seekers later, this poster says…….

Not really. I blame the silly people who can’t use their brain cells to challenge some of their own prejudices. We live in a world where white is seen as superior, good, can do no wrong!

But none of us on here are saying that white people don't also commit these crimes.

Which systems? Can you ge specific on how pre Brexit states outside gave information on crimes outside the EU?

And why Germany and ROI are suffering similar male crime whilst still in?

Illogical, baseless and unfair.

This (and the tragic and shocking Welsh murder) are the news headlines this evening. Of course people are concerned. I. Sorry if it doesn’t fit the world-view of super-privileged commentators like Ms Frostrup.

That might be the case with Right wing men in particular, but it's definitely not the case for mostly centre or centre-left women, many of whom are feminists. Just spend some time on the Women's Rights forum here.

It sounds like her dad didn't just abandon his female family members leaving them with even less male protection in a society that hates them though. He didn't just take off on his own without them.

This is true.

There are social and cultural conditions that make being a good man rare, not impossible, but rare.

And a good man would never abandon his wife and little children in a place that was not safe for them.

This is also not what the vast majority of men who arrive here do.

Most will move with their families to a refugee camp in a neighbouring country to bring their family to relative safety. This is not a long term solution. Most who do that will wait until it is possible to go back to their home nation. Those who don’t want to return, will seek asylum somewhere. For families who want to claim asylum in somewhere far from where they are, will make the long and difficult journey alone, bringing their family when they are settled because it is safer for their family to do that.

Nobody is fucking off from their family and leaving their wife and daughters in the hands of the Taliban.

They are not illegal according to the law.

Also incorrect. They have unlawful entry into the UK. Trust me, this doesn't bode well for asylum claims, actually. When it comes to assessing, then there's loads of hoops to go through, but this is the legal blurb for asylum seekers who first must have met the definition of refugee, prior to an asylum claim:

Immigration Rules - Immigration Rules part 11: asylum - Guidance - GOV.UK

Asylum (paragraphs 326A to 352H).

Actually, thats a good point. At least here they have some chance of facing justice (4% chance for rape I believe). In Afghanistan (for example) women are nothing more than slaves for these men.

Yes perhaps the pp will specify which system
