Oooofff. I mean it might as well be called Fuck You David Harbour, You Cheating Bastard. Safe to say she’s set a new bar for diaristic songwriting. I feel so sad for her, I know she’s not everyone’s favourite person but it’s always been clear that all she wanted was to love and be loved and she seemed so happy with him- he popped up on her podcast with Miquita Oliver a few times and seemed so genuine in the way he spoke about her… for it to all collapse in such spectacularly public and hideous fashion must have been awful to endure, so I don’t blame her for working through it by going back to what she does best but still… blimey. I feel like I’ve been spying in their bedroom or something after listening to it!

There are obviously some exceptions, but the women who are in command who have chosen that life are not the ones who have to be protected. You have to be quite delusional to think that prostitution can ever be healthy for a woman.

I am genuinely curious how people get through life with such poor reading comprehension skills and understanding of nuance as have been demonstrated on this thread.

I didn’t say it’s healthy for women who haven’t chosen that life at all, that’s abuse. I said it happens and that I don’t believe it’s all exploitation. What about onlyfans? Is it only certain exceptions who aren’t forced into it? Where does the line get drawn? Is it only women who are having actual sex with men that are being exploited for the most part? What about Bonnie Blue, is she exploiting men or are they exploiting her? What about when she’s out at universities looking for barely legal guys? I know that’s not the norm, but it’s not always straightforward and I don’t think there’s a one reason fits all as to why people get into sex work. I’m not trying to say it’s wrong or right that people do it, but I’m just really on the side of making it safe and legal so that people are as protected as possible and are less vulnerable to being abused.

Obviously onlyfans is the milder end of the sex industry, however I wouldn't be too sure that everybody who does it, does it exclusively of their own free will.

If my daughter had an onlyfans I wouldn't criticise, I wouldn't judge, certainly not from a moral standpoint. However I wouldn't be "happy" about it either, I would be concerned for her future mental health and self esteem. I think Bonnie Blue is being exploited and is setting herself up for a difficult time ahead, money isn't everything.

However, as you said earlier, everyone has different opinions, and it's getting off the point of the thread.

I think Lily and David have been and still are messed up in various ways. You can judge one or either, it doesn't matter, they won't be any different as a result of what we think.
