I have s lip blush, so not a filler as such but a semi permanent lip liner & lipstick

I love it, gives my face a bit of colour & still going strong after 2.5 years

Lbet · 19/10/2025 09:29

How often do you have to have them filled and how much does it costs each time?

No. Never will. It’s the worse cosmetic procedure by far. And you can always always tell. Even the tiniest ‘lip flip’.

Roasty · 19/10/2025 09:28

There’s a before and after.

You must be happy, you look lovely.

COUN · 19/10/2025 09:33

Yes- had them done about 8 times over the last decade.

Pain? No. May feel a slight prick in some areas but the numbing cream means you don’t feel too much. They can bruise quite easily.

Size- I’ve had lips of all sizes! Mine were naturally small. I’ve admittedly gone too big at times, now they’re just normal looking and don’t look fake. I mean everyone on here will comment differently but my family have never known.

Telephon · 19/10/2025 09:33

The issue with lip fillers is the really good, subtle fillers aren’t noticed because they look natural, and the really dreadful ones are really painfully obviously and look awful. Ergo, everyone thinks lip fillers look awful.

£300 with my dermatologist every couple of years and that includes the rest of the filler in one or two other areas of my lower face such as jowls, small lines above my upper lip, cheeks, one line on one side of my mouth, I vary it.

Mademetoxic · 19/10/2025 09:36

For people who say they're not noticeable, they definitely are from the sides. You can always tell when someone has lip fillers.

Roasty · 19/10/2025 09:36

@YourPeppyAmberTraybakethank you.

I get a little bit - 0.5ml, done every two years by my dentist. As you can see, I am not chasing the puffed up adult entertainer look. Breastfeeding caused me a lot of weight loss and my face took a hammering. You’ll notice my severe nasolabial folds, which annoy me beyond measure - however, I will not touch them. I am generally happy with how I look, maybe some people can tell.. I don’t care. I really don’t.

My children tell me I’m pretty, my husband loves me. I don’t make babies cry in the street.

All I will say next, is if you’re considering doing anything to your face, please go to a doctor or a dentist. This is your face, you only get one. Leave the eyebrow threading and lash lifts for the beauty therapists.

Oh, and my lips cost £350 but again, done by a highly qualified dentist.

Calcaata · 19/10/2025 09:36

Lbet · 19/10/2025 09:15

That sounds quite nice and but wonder why some have them really big , like sticking out.

🙄 oh my god.

OP if you want your lips done. Do it. If it doesn’t interest you then don’t.

The weird judgment on this forum is off the scale.

teacupzs · 19/10/2025 09:42

I agree with the pp about going to a doctor or dentist or someone who really understands the face.

I have never had them done as don't need it but tbh I don't see why thin lips are necessarily bad. Kate middleton has a tiny top lip but it suits her. Sometimes I think filler ever done well disrupts the harmony of the face and makes a nose look different etc but each to their own.

namnamnam22 · 19/10/2025 09:54

Yes, have had them done three times over the last 7/8 years or so. Very natural looking and has actually given me a top lip which I didn’t really have before! Even with numbing cream I find it quite nippy x

There’s a before and after.

You have beautiful skin!

AliceMaforethought · 19/10/2025 09:58

Not a chance. I have yet to see filled lips that don't look as if they belong on a porn star.

Zanatdy · 19/10/2025 09:59

No

PurpleChrayn · 19/10/2025 10:00

No. A woman inflating her lips genuinely disgusts me.

notacooldad · 19/10/2025 10:02

No but I have had lip blush done.
I absolutely love it. I had it done two years ago and it still looks great.

PicaK · 19/10/2025 10:02

I've found I recoil from people with lip fillers.
Which is a strong reaction and puzzled me - cos is it much different to wearing make up? Having braces? Is it an age thing? I'm 52.
I can't figure out why I'm so averse. However, I do realise it's totally ridiculous of me. I would never say to anyone irl that I don't like them even if I'm sure they'd agree with me and I watch myself for bias in my professional life. If it makes the person happy what's the problem.
And yet I still wince when I see them.
But then they probably wince at me.

Coconutter24 · 19/10/2025 10:03

No, I honestly don’t get the hype. When people are really overfilled and look ridiculous I just don’t understand how they think it looks nice

LittleMoreLegAction · 19/10/2025 09:30

No. Never will. It’s the worse cosmetic procedure by far. And you can always always tell. Even the tiniest ‘lip flip’.

A ‘lip flip’ is Botox, not filler. It just exposes more of the natural lip tissue, so you actually couldn’t tell if someone had had a lip flip if you had never met them before. HTH

Neemie · 19/10/2025 10:06

I’m not anti plastic surgery but lip fillers are often done really badly and can look really odd in profile. They also have a sex-doll look about them which I don’t like.

This.

Sone are more subtle than others but to say no one notices is like thinking no-one would notice you’re wearing clothes if they happen to be the same colour as your skin.

beadystar · 19/10/2025 10:10

No. My lips are a normal size but thinner than when I was younger. I wouldn’t rule it out, but never to any obvious duck lips degree. I know two women who had no top lips and got them filled to just be small lips. It’s an improvement and you wouldn’t know unless they told you.

Pedantic. It’s still noticeable work on your lip. And yes you can always tell.

niadainud · 19/10/2025 10:12

Really don't understand the point of threads like this.

"Do you have lip fillers?"

Some posters: Yes.
All other posters: No.

"Why do you have lip fillers?"

All posters: Because I wanted bigger lips.
