Fans banned from match

WTAF?!

https://news.sky.com/story/maccabi-tel-aviv-fans-will-not-be-allowed-to-attend-aston-villa-match-amid-safety-concerns-13451240

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans banned due to safety concerns AGAINST them?

Since when is it ok to victim blame and penalise people who have done nothing wrong? Surely the right course of action would be either to ban ALL fans of both sides or better police the event?

So are Jews not welcome at sports games now? Because some people are racist bullies?

I genuinely can’t believe this has been allowed. Where does it end? Can Jews no longer safely access society? What if the risk is high elsewhere, will they be banned then?

What do you think? AIBU to think this is discriminatory and a slippery slope?

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will not be allowed to attend Aston Villa match amid safety concerns

Police say the decision is based partly on what happened in Amsterdam last year, when Israeli fans attending a match against Ajax were targets of antisemitic attacks.

The police are saying that if the fans come, they will be attacked by antisemites. So it pretty much is a ban on Jews, dictated by a mob who the police refuse to deal with, community cohesion blah, blah, blah.

If the police won't do their fucking job, we should get the army on the streets.

Edited

Agreed. It is a huge failure to say 'we are banning you because we can't keep you safe'. Ignoring the rights of Jews should not be optional.

If we had 'no go' areas for any other minority there would, quite rightly, be widespread outrage. Where are the allies?

Kittlewittle · 16/10/2025 23:49

As Kemi Badenoch said: the government has effectively acknowledged that there are 'no go' areas for Jews in this country.

Let that sink in

It is utterly despicable, and any right minded person should be appalled.

I’m afraid that won’t sink in to the brain fucked people on this post.
No concern no shame.

No you jog on.
If anyone is dim it’s you.
Im not getting paid anything, how sad are you.
Or are you the one that’s being paid and judging everyone by your own low standards.

Kittlewittle · 17/10/2025 00:04

This reminds me of when Gideon Falkner, a British Jewish, was told he could not go for a walk by a police officer while being 'visibly Jewish'.

The government needs to tackle the people who make the UK unsafe for Jews (starting with the weekly hate marches), rather than banning the freedom of movement of Jews.

I'm sure you're aware that shortly after Daniel Day Lewis' visit to Gaza 20 years ago, Israel completely withdrew all forces and settlements from the strip?

The police threatened to arrest him!

Exactly. If people are happy for mobs to dictate who deserves safety on the streets, they cant complain when it's turned against them. There are plenty of people who would like "no go zones" for women for example. Now all they have to do is threaten their safety and voila, women are told to stay away. Is that how it works now? That would be fine would it?

Quite and let’s not pretend there aren’t already no go areas if you value your safety, not even talking about being Jewish.

The latest ridiculous lie that the anti israel people believe without question is that Israel is paying people 7000$ per post to say positive things about them. Just another varient of those dastardly jews controlling everything lol

No because it’s the Macabi fans that are the issue. They’re unable to conduct themselves in a decent manner when in public. It’s got nothing to do with it being an Israeli team it’s just that they have a terrible reputation for inciting hate and violence wherever they go. Amsterdam 2024 is a recent example.

Then why isn't this reason the one that's been provided by anyone in charge of this decision? It's almost like you're parroting a lot of BS you've heard on TikTok without bothering to even think about what you're saying.

It's not though? Any Jewish Aston Villa fans are welcome to attend. Any Jewish, Christian or whatever else Macabi Tel Aviv fans aren't.

Why is it so important to people that fans who make monkey noises at black people and sing taunting songs about killed children get to attend a football match?

You are literally a disgrace writing this to a Jewish person.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 17/10/2025 00:26

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 16/10/2025 23:53

Are you really saying this to someone Jewish, who is so appalled by the Jew hate in this country she is thinking of going to the only place that is a Jewish homeland, specifically set up because of the banishments of Jewish people the world over.
The fuck where do you think Jewish people should go.
Or are you really actually saying they should not exist.
Fuck me.

@ChessorBuckaroo
Any reply to this yet as you have no shame.

Ah, so you’re saying Jews aren’t welcome anywhere? I think you’re over estimating sympathy for the Palestinians. The Jews in this country are peaceful, and go about their lives in a very dignified way, despite the marches that go on every Saturday in London attempting to intimidate them. Unlike some other communities who have settled here. Let’s be honest here, if Muslims were taken out of the equation, the marches would probably consist of a few hundred people. So I think we can safely say that support for the Palestinians isn’t big amongst most of us.

Well other years and matches it seems it’s quite okay for them to attend, despite any inappropriate behaviour. Just seems to be this year for some reason….

There was no genocide. It was Israel defending themselves. You can throw the word around as much as you want. Still doesn’t make it true though….

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 16/10/2025 20:41

Not fact.

I'm not asking you to believe me, believe the ICJ, ICC and the UN. Also the Lancet that a couple of months ago said about 500,000 Palestinians have been killed so far. That is a wee bit more than an eye for an eye.

I dont get your point to be honest? Because fans who make monkey noises at black people and laugh at killed children usually attend they should always be allowed to attend and that's why people are so put out that this year they aren't? Things should never change, everything should always stay the same and people are fighting so hard for people who make monkey noises at black people and laugh at killed children to attend a football match because change is bad?

Get a bloody grip. No one is saying that Jews shouldn't exist. If you think they are then you are either so consumed with hate that you see it everywhere or your comprehension skills leave something to be desired.

You think openly jewish aston villa fans wouldnt face any hostility? They absolutely would. I'd imagine you couldn't wear a kippah in many parts of Birmingham without harassment

Alittlefeedbackwouldbenice · 17/10/2025 00:38

Btw, I don't care if a state is made up of Muslims, Atheists, Jews or those that worship the spaghetti gods. Most of us that are concerned feel the same. It's not about religion but equality and humanity. Genocide is a never crime. No one is above that, and no one's past justifies that. Again, a never crime. Never justifiable. Those of us concerned about Israel's actions share those concerns with the UN, Amnesty international, MSF, Save the Children, the Red Cross etc. When such a collection of organisations speak with one mind about their concerns, it's probably because they are on the right side of history.
