To now be increasingly concerned about illegal boat arrivals

CalmShaker · 14/10/2025 21:33

I've kept a level head with boat crossing arrivals but recently I've become concerned that there are some really unpleasant people being let in. This story was hard to watch on the news this evening;

Asylum seeker 'murdered hotel worker Rhiannon Whyte in frenzied attack' - BBC News https://share.google/qxzed2MD19TYPKasQ

I welcome genuine asylum but I don't believe that is what is happening anymore.
The story immediately before the above on national news this evening was the migrant who had threatened Nigel Farrage. I know Nigel is not the most popular of people but the migrant was horrid, clearly dangerous and not safe to be on our streets.
Financial cost and all other factors aside, it's the safety aspect that worry me most.

This thread and the common sense coming from women who are all speaking their mind about the very real danger we are all facing makes me feel sane.

The years of being gaslit as a bigot for stating these worries run deep, but I’m glad so many of us are saying no now.

That poor little girl that was raped in Dublin by a man who should have been deported has kept me up the past few days. She has been utterly failed.

Poetnojo · 23/10/2025 10:17

@freshpyjamas I feel the very same.

Same. I’d wonder if those who tried to attack feel complicit but people rarely do.

I’m glad to see other women speak up.

It's unfortunate that riots started in Dublin, the message is half lost, no news about the victim or further victims, the focus is on the riots.
A woman.was sentenced last week as she called the immigrants cunts etc, the people arrested will face very harsh punishments ensuring that it won't happen again.
The garda took any citizen journalists phones from them for evidence.
Last night the garda rammed a lot of people using their shields, many were thugs, others at the back were women telling their stories.
I haven't been to a protest, there is a women's and DC peaceful protest organised for Saturday afternoon. I'm thinking about attending.

Even worse, if it can be, the little girl was surrendered for respite as she has special needs, how did she travel 15 miles without anyone noticing her, they haven't asked for witnesses from the tram so I'm assuming someone drove her there. Bizarre, Tulsa aka social services have a terrible reputation.

I doubt it, they are so full of their self-righteousness that it won’t register.

Good God, that’s horrific.

So glad some people are fighting back.
Irritates me no end about the woman that was stabbed last October who worked at the migrant hotel. What a way to treat the UK when they have helped you?

He can't even admit it. I think her family should be able to sue the government.

I wonder what would happen if it was one of Starmers relatives that got killed, never is though is it?

Just seen on Sky News that he’s been found guilty of murder. Good.

Not that it’s going to bring back the poor woman.

sunflower1022 · 24/10/2025 15:04

It all makes me so angry. Angry at the utter scum who commit these vile crimes and angry at the idiots who try to downplay legitimate concerns and waffle about ‘patriarchy’.

ginasevern · 24/10/2025 15:14

I expect the same women so quick to shout "bigots and racists" are probably GC. So I am. But I can't help but see the irony in hand wringing about a miniscule number of transwomen sometimes using female toilets yet at the same time being utterly nonchalant about thousands of unchecked, unidentified men pouring into the country.

I’m pretty sure that most GC women are against adult male asylum seekers in general?

I wholeheartedly agree. But people don’t want to hear it.

In my home country there are things happening on a daily basis these days. Not many of them make the national news of course, but people do talk about it online and when you do your own research it is mentioned in the regional papers.

I'm in Belfast once a week atm and am staggered at watching what were once beautiful streets turn into rows of houses of multiple occupancy. Communities are disintegrating as the homes of the elderly are sold on to the likes of Serco and Mears. And I've noticed a trend in home owners moving out to more rural areas, including a piece in a local paper yesterday where one of our most enthusiastic open borders shills was raving about her new home in Fermanagh!

You'd think so, but I'm not so sure.

PeonyPatch · 24/10/2025 16:27

The recent murder raises fresh concerns of women (and men) working at the refugee holding centres… It seems there needs to be much stricter security and processing much quicker!

Tonkerbea · 24/10/2025 16:27

To my shame I wasn't aware of this case until the news today. Absolutely horrific.
I have always believed we should welcome those in need of help, but this, this has shaken me to the absolute core.

It's always men.

Let women and children be supported when they need it, and start vetting men seeking asylum stringently. And treat all VAWG, all forms of abuse, with the severity of punishment and seriousness it deserves.

I'm so sick of the fear women have to live with. I'm so angry.

RIP Rhiannon. The victims name should lead in the reporting, not the monster who took her away from her loved ones

On the contrary, I see quite a crossover between anti women/pro trans posters and pro unfettered immigration posters on here.

Some people see safeguarding of women and children as important, be it from the wholesale loss of female only facilities, services and sports or from men in small boats, some of whom are actual terrorists and rapists. Some don’t.

EsmaCannonball · 24/10/2025 16:37

I think it is clear than many migrants and asylum seekers are seeking a better economic life but are bringing with them the cultural problems that made the countries they are leaving so violent and dysfunctional in the first place. Many of them are already involved with crime and serious organised crime. The people smuggling gangs and asylum influencers also advise them to have 'anchor babies' as soon as possible when they are here which might explain some of their harassment of women.

Another issue which is rarely discussed is that increased migration is a result of developing nations getting wealthier and the standard of living in those countries improving. The migrants are rarely the poorest of the poor. They are not tribespeople or untouchables. The people who migrate are the ones who have money behind them or who offer value to the organised crime or terrorist-affiliated groups who smuggle them here and then employ them. The truly desperate can't afford this.

All the spin about quicker processing doesn't comfort me. It just means that migrants will be waved through with even less consideration given to their true identity, the veracity of their claim to be here and the danger they possibly present to the citizens of the UK. And they will still get to appeal again and again or be deported and return again and again.
