but peace in the area is more important than getting annoyed at someone with a ridiculously over inflated ego gaining an over inflated recognition

My guess is Israel-Gaza situation will reignite (=Israeli soldiers on the ground & Israelis targetting Hamas people physically present in Gaza strip with artillery) within 18months... maybe within 18 days. I submit that if the deal 'fails' within 18days, definitely not a deal worthy of Peace Prize. I doubt 18m duration is good enough, too.

He's very good at foreign policy. I'll give him that.

It’s far too early to predict if there is peace in the middle east. This is phase one of a peace deal. Fingers and everything crossed that there is long term peace but who the heck knows?!

Zelensky has taken billions of dollars worth of money and equipment from the US, Trump's allowed to have a say. Ukraine don't have a path to victory at all. It's been a waste of money.

Now we have a peace deal for Israel and Gaza.

That's not foreign policy. Currently ICE are doing a very good job on the southern border and deporting criminal illegals in the states

(And Israel will definitely keep the peace once the hostages have been returned, they're just using up the last of their ammunition tonight because they don't want to be wasteful)

I’m afraid I’d be amazed (and delighted) if this were to be the start of a lasting peace. There needs to be a two-state solution for that to be a real possibility and that’s the last thing on earth that Netanyahu and the far right in Israel will ever agree to.

Likely that Israel will break the deal. As Trump supporters have said (sickeningly) they have the demolition done and apparently this is his vision

A peace deal being spoken of doesn’t necessarily mean peace. Netanyahu doesn’t want peace imo. It’ll all crash in just a few days, I think.

He hasn't addressed the root cause of the wars between Israel and Palestine and there is no guarantee that this peace plan will last.
Surely the reason for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize is that the peace has been sustained between both sides.

And with regards to Trump, I absolutely despise him and think that all this does is prove that if he'd wanted to, he could have made it happen several months ago. He just didn't care enough. But still, I'd rather him win it a million times over than Greta Thunberg 😏

Also the last thing Hamas want. People on here seem to forget that on a regular basis, despite numerous reminders. It's almost like people are pushing some sort of agenda.
