My thoughts are with the Jewish community on the second anniversary of this barbaric attack.

Hi all,
While we try not to be too prescriptive as to what is posted and where on our discussion site, we are intent on deleting posts that do not engage with the subject of this thread, which is in remembrance of the victims of the Oct 7th attacks and in solidarity with the Jewish community.

There are ample opportunities across the CITME board to express a range of thoughts - those posters choosing this particular thread to debate the issues will be seen as goading and inflammatory.

Honestly, I was so disgusted. I just thought - why couldn't she just walk past?.

I know…it beggars belief that those people think they’re the good guys.

It’s a terrible day to remember. Sending thoughts to all the families and victims. I hope the hostages will be returned soon.

I am astonished that some people could feel anything other than compassion and sympathy for the Jewish community today of all days. Whatever your views BOTH innocent Palestinian AND Jewish lives matter. Nobody deserves what happened to those poor people on October 7th and if you can't show any compassion for their suffering then you have lost a part of your humanity. You are dehumanising human beings.

My thoughts are with the Jewish Community today and all that they have suffered. You are not alone.

My thoughts are with the victims, the hostages, their families and their friends, that suffered such horrible loss and trauma with this terrible attack.

Exactly. I am mindful of @HopeMumsnet 's very appropriate contribution.

That’s ok, it is disgusting.

Why do they have to do it?

Because they hate Jews so much that they're simply incapable of shutting the fuck up about it for a few hours.

This.
There are literally hundreds of threads in CITME for all the other comments.

I don't know what any threads "achieve".
The OP is commemorating a dreadful event, the important point about this is that the hostages are not all free.

Someone living in Muswell Hill told me that a young woman was cutting down the yellow ribbons on a hostage memorial site.
Why would you even do that?
How much hate is there that you can't even leave yellow ribbons to remember hostages?
Unbelievable.

This has just been shown on television.
Despicable cow.

There tends to be a thread about terrorist attacks and remembering the victims. No one needs to comment if they don't want to.

Look this is a memorial thread. You are being tone deaf. If you want to go debate why threads are created, start a thread on it......anyone can start a thread on what they think important.

I remember 2 years ago watching in horror at the Hamas footage they recorded as they they slaughtered innocent people. It was unbelievable.

Thoughts to all the families and victims.

I will never forget that woman in her bloodied joggers being shoved in that car. I often think about her, and what she endured.

Do you say that on 9/11? Or the anniversaries of the July 7 bombings? "Won't someone think of the terrorists"? Highly doubtful that you do.

My thoughts too! Especially the young Jewish who often volunteered in the occupied lands of Palestine, despised Netenyahu, who were pro democracy in Israel and had so much good things in their future. I also share their families anger where since this tragedy happened it turned out that Israel secret services knew that Hamas was preparing an attack but didn’t protect any of these people with the most militarised society in the world because papa Netenyahu was losing the trust of Israeli’s as He was attempting to dismantle their judiciary. We cannot let the right wing get away this collusion. As on october 6. The two state solution was closer to reality then it has been for the last 2 years.

Edited

I think the point is being massively missed by even starting this thread, however I see it's a bit of an echo chamber so I'll bow out. Of course I feel for anyone who has suffered needless loss, regardless of their religion or political stance, that goes without saying.

That's your opinion. Fine. However, this is about Oct 7th, which is what is being commemorated here. If it's not for you, that's ok.

freakingscared · 07/10/2025 10:12

May their families somehow heal from this .
May their memory be a blessing
May those who did it never get to do it again .

I also truly hope all the pro Hamas and Palestinian fanatics at least show respect for the families and stay home !

It doesn’t bear thinking about.

And yet people can’t help themselves with their whataboutery and vile posts on here.
