My thoughts are with the Jewish community on the second anniversary of this barbaric attack.

well you could say 7th oct wouldn’t have happened if Israel hadn’t murdered thousands of Palestinians leading up to that point

@DottieMoon do you saw similar when people remember 7/7 or the MEN bombing?

Much love to the families of the hostages still waiting release and to those who lost loved ones during the attack, as well as to the whole nation of Israel and beyond who are suffering because of it.

Hi all,
While we try not to be too prescriptive as to what is posted and where on our discussion site, we are intent on deleting posts that do not engage with the subject of this thread, which is in remembrance of the victims of the Oct 7th attacks and in solidarity with the Jewish community.

There are ample opportunities across the CITME board to express a range of thoughts - those posters choosing this particular thread to debate the issues will be seen as goading and inflammatory.

Interesting you’ve chosen this thread to be so vigilant on that, given what is left to stand on other threads. I wonder why that is?

AzurePanda · 07/10/2025 10:17

I think about them everyday; Hersh and the Bibas family in particular.

My heart goes out to the Jewish community today, please don’t underestimate how many are standing with you.

Ok, this is a memorial thread, so I'm just going to say this.
Nothing, but nothing, justifies what happened on Oct 7th. Nothing.

Has it been a year already? God. Very dark day.

I think the point is being massively missed by even starting this thread, however I see it's a bit of an echo chamber so I'll bow out. Of course I feel for anyone who has suffered needless loss, regardless of their religion or political stance, that goes without saying.

Of course its an echo chamber - its a memorial thread! That's the point, sharing thoughts for victims!

Shani Louk. Those images, her poor family. 🙏

💐 to all the victims and their families.

LunaDeBallona · 07/10/2025 10:21

I’m utterly ashamed by the open anti semetism infecting the UK.
I stand with every British Jew.
I think of the hostages and the agony of their families every day.
Tonight, I will light a candle and pray for them all.

BeautifulSongsofLove · 07/10/2025 08:57

My thoughts are with all communities involved here, may the hostages be released, may the genocide cease, may the people of the occupied and decimated Palestinian territories be allowed to rebuild their lives so that they are given equal access (as Israelis) to at least basic amenities, may Israel be governed by people with compassion, diplomacy and the desire to resolve this situation for all involved

Jeez... just for once have some compassion for the 7/10 victims instead of using them as an excuse to drag in your pet protest.

freakingscared · 07/10/2025 10:21

sunflower1022 · 07/10/2025 10:14

It doesn’t bear thinking about.

And yet people can’t help themselves with their whataboutery and vile posts on here.

For me the memory that will forever stay in my mind is the Bibas family . The mum holding on to her babies 😭. I can’t look at any photo or video without crying . The sheer horror and fear on her face is something as a mother I can only imagine . I’ve been trying to see the movie October 7 th and red alert series but I admit I’m finding it hard .
My heart and my support is with Israel and its people .

I was appalled and disgusted by the attack. I think about people like the mum of Shani Louk a lot. How can these parents ever recover. The families of the hostages must be in agony. Nobody deserved to die at that festival.

I am Muslim but my heart goes out to innocent victims everywhere. And that includes the victims of this massacre on 7/10. Sending love to all affected.

Beautifully framed. You are a decent person.

(Sadly 15% of people have voted to say OP is unreaonable for remembering the 7/10 victims - unbelievable. Others are using the thread to drag in their pet cause. Thanks for a decent post).

Alternatively, the people criticising you understood your point perfectly and have correctly pointed out that it's a bad point being made on the wrong thread.

I agree her face was showing sheer terror as she clutched her babies to her. Awful

I think it’s probably best to not give you and your ilk any oxygen.

Very wise, Sunflower1022

I too am remembering all those lost, and you'd think just one thread could focus on jewish people on this day, but as you've rightly said some just can't help themselves

EmpressoftheMundane · 07/10/2025 10:39

My thoughts and sympathies are with them today. 🙏

NigelFaragesFakeRoarofLaughter · 07/10/2025 10:39

Thinking of all the victims and their families, and everyone affected in the wider world. Flowers

I'm horrified & shocked that anyone could think YABU

Thoughts today with all the victims and their families today - I still remember the shocking reports from that day. Hopefully the hostages will be released soon and peace comes to the region 🤞
