My thoughts are with the Jewish community on the second anniversary of this barbaric attack.

That’s ok, it is disgusting.

Why do they have to do it?

Well it was Hamas who started this particularly round, by savagely murdering over a thousand unarmed men and women just living their lives. And taking more, including babies, as hostages. And their intention was obviously to provoke Israel into an invasion - and what country would have reached differently? - knowing perfectly well the suffering it would unleash on their own people. What was the logic? Did they think they could then win a guerilla war on the streets of Gaza? Were they actually that stupid? Or was it some weird martyrdom thing? Honestly, who knows???

I think it’s probably best to not give you and your ilk any oxygen.

Mine too. Bring the hostages home.

Hamas clearly didn't give a stuff about those babies and children either, did they? They knew perfectly well an invasion would follow.

To my mind the only person who has gained out of Israel and Palestine being back to all out war like this is the evil bastard in the Kremlin who is also celebrating his birthday today.

The date is no coincidence, and the re escalation of the conflict has just put “the West” and especially people who consider themselves liberal at each others throats again. It also probably put Trump back in the White House.

The 7 Oct is a day of mourning for both the Israeli and Palestinian people in my view, and all people, especially Jews and Muslims, who value human life. This is the day that led to all of the slaughter that followed.

It has hardly benefitted the Palestinians that some bastards did this supposedly in their name.

The useful idiots can’t / don’t want to see that.

I agree but I don't think this thread is the place for that.
My thoughts are with the people and families affected by the Oct 7th attacks

TigTails · 07/10/2025 09:20

I’d hope that most reasonable people can see there are victims on both sides here, none of whom deserve any of what’s happened in the last two years. It’s possible to have compassion for the Jewish community AND Palestinians at the same time.

So did i. I was sickened that this was posted on a remembrance day.
Praying for the release of the hostages and peace.

Unbelievable that 19% believe you’re unreasonable.
just pure anti semitism and hate.

Indeed. They show themselves to be the racists they are.

My thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones 2 years ago. Sending love and strength.

I'm sure there's a celebration march somewhere you can attend today to gloat about all the people killed on October 7?
Meanwhile you can let one thread be about the victims of a massacre perpetrated by islamist extremists or is that too much to ask?

My heart goes out to all the victims of October 7, and all the Jewish people around the world who feel under threat right now. Chag Sukkot sameach

Thinking of the devastated families and those who so horrifically lost their lives.
Hoping so much that the hostages are home with their families soon and that they are surrounded by love and professional support.

You are not right. This is about remembering the horrific terrorist attack on 7th October, the victims of that day, and not what hamas brought upon it's own people as a result.

This would never have happened if those 1200 Israelis hadn't been murdered by Hamas.

Why is it so hard for people to have compassion for Jewish people and Palestinian people. Forget the Israeli government and forget hamas. Both are awful.
this is about the Israeli people and the Palestinian people. They have gone through more than we can ever imagine. And I feel deep compassion for the whole situation.
