My thoughts are with the Jewish community on the second anniversary of this barbaric attack.

Thank you for posting. I will be thinking of them today, as I have done every day for the past two years. Sending my love and solidarity to the Jewish community, you are not standing alone.

Disappointed but not surprised to see the ‘all lives matter’ing on this thread already.

The same is true of any thread about Gaza. Goose - gander.

Seriously, just be quiet with your hate speech today of all days. You are rude & being deliberately offensive on this thread where people are showing respect for the dead & the hostages.

TigTails · 07/10/2025 09:32

Sadly, I think this thread needs removing. It’s fueling disrespect rather than remembrance.

Ihatetomatoes · 07/10/2025 09:32

I remember 2 years ago watching in horror at the Hamas footage they recorded as they they slaughtered innocent people. It was unbelievable.

Thoughts to all the families and victims.

You cannot let people who are filled with hate win.

No, people should be allowed to remember and honour the victims. But MN needs to be monitoring the thread proactively and zapping any inappropriate posts as soon as they appear.

In fairness I think we can (and should) care about both.

SriouslyWhutNow · 07/10/2025 09:37

The victims are in my thoughts, too.
Best not to engage with interruptarons.
Next month they’ll be back to gluing themselves to roads because of pollution or something.

This would never have happened if those 1200 Israelis hadn't been murdered by Hamas.

What do you mean? Those "hostages" are convicted terrorists and murderers for many years, that israel are even willing to release in the thousands to get their hostages back.

Let's not forget that the mastermind of October 7 was released under a similar deal and despite having had life saving cancer treatment during his imprisonment, he still went on to orchestrate the murder of innocent Israeli civilians. "Hostages" dont receive life saving medical care do they, in general?

I don't agree.
Then they win.
There should be enough people to offer their respect today on this thread.

Indeed, probably best to ignore that poster.

I don't understand? I didn't mention anything about the Hostages.

The genocide unfolding before our eyes is horrific. That the world has done little to intervene is shocking. Netanyahu and certain members of his cabinet are despicable.

This is a specific memorial thread to innocent people who lost their lives in a terrible terrorist attack so, with respect, not the place for comments like yours.

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 07/10/2025 09:41

Thinking of the hostages and their families, and any Jewish people living in fear, and thinking of the victims of the genocide in Palestine, and any Muslims living in fear, and hoping for a resolution that sees all hostages freed and all hostilities ending as soon as possible.

It's not about sides, it's not about "all lives matter", it's a horrendous situation and my feelings are for the innocent people swept up in the war of two egomaniac groups.

In a nutshell.

HappyGolmore2 · 07/10/2025 09:43

Thinking of the victims of the Hamas attack & the 10s of 1000s Gazans who've also been murdered.
I really hope that this plan for peace can work.

I agree, the news from that day onward has been constantly filled with innocent people being murdered on both sides. It's extremely distressing and heart wrenching to watch it all unfold in real time. So much loss and pain.
