I dont blame them. I would if I were Jewish.

They have been failed by their country, which is the UK. I wish them well and hope the UK can sort its anti semitism problems so it becomes safe for Jewish people again.

I think the rules of racism are quite simple, really: you can hold an individual responsible for their own views, but collective guilt is not OK. People can have ethnic/national allegiances without necessarily condoning every action carried out in their name. I am a zionist but I think Netanyahu should be locked up and the settler movement is monstrous. Similarly, some of my favourite people are pro-Pal but if I heard them supporting Hamas or 7th October they would be dead to me.

It is easy to understand why those with families in the region feel so strongly it can obliterate everything else, but people on this thread mostly don't. There really is no excuse for us to insist on goodies and baddies. It is not enough to strike a pose; we are all responsible for combating racism in the UK. it is not acceptable to say 'I will only defend anti zionist Jews' any more than it is to say, 'I will only defend feminist Muslims'.

Oh and BTW, you are quite wrong about Israeli ancestry. Given how much Jews have wandered around over the last two centuries, it is astonishing how consistently DNA testing shows our routes back to the Levant.

I’m new here and I’m shocked rigid by some of these comments. I know one thing though, the truth always comes out. So I’m just going to wait until it does. I’m originally from Yemen and the atrocities I’ve seen would make most people throw up. I left along with most of the Jews many years ago after being ethnically cleansed and I can tell you with my hand on my heart that the Muslim brotherhood know exactly what they’re doing and how to get away with it. They’ve systematically destroyed my country, and so many other previously vibrant societies like Iran, Lebanon, and I’m seeing it unfold now in Turkey. It’s inevitable that it’s going to make its way to Europe and the billions of dollars invested in the regime coming from Qatar has very successfully started its insidious journey into the consciousness of the population here. It always starts with the Jews because they’re the smallest minority - it did in Yemen, and in much of MENA. They use the same techniques that they collaborated with the Nazis on and get the population to turn against this small minority. Once they’re done with the Jews they start on the next. I don’t post on here much as I can see the change quite clearly and I know there’s literally nothing to be done. I think it’s started and it’s probably too late.

Another news report today of the trial of two men with a stash of guns who were planning a massive attack on Jews in Manchester. This was totally unconnected to last week's incident.
