In the wake of the tragic events that took place in Manchester, I want to implore people not to lose steam or, more importantly, hope.

Gaza is still facing destruction, famine and genocide.

We need to continue to peacefully pressure our government to take action and sanction the Israeli government and to educate and inform people about the horrors faced by the Palestinian people day in and day out for the last two years.

People who opposed the liberation of Palestine want for this to be a turning point. For people to point the finger at a movement that wants to see the end of the suffering of millions and label it as inciting hate.

It's not.
And it's important.

Please don't put down your passion for Gaza.

So why aren’t you protesting against Hamas who would not give two fucks about you or your son and would use them as cannon fodder.

and the IDF would use him as a teenage prisoner in their illegal prisons. Hamas hasn’t existed since day 1 so please.

She was doing no harm. She wasn't getting in the way. She was praying for the lives being ended in that clinic. You know? The lives you obviously couldn't care less about.

And don't FFS me. You really are getting on my last nerve.

She was breaking the law and causing potential harm to vulnerable women making for many the most difficult decision of their lives.
If people don’t want an abortion, don’t have one, that’s their. They have no right whatsoever to try to force their personal beliefs on anyone else.
Should people be arrested only for breaking laws you personally approve of?

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 04/10/2025 14:28

DrPrunesqualer · 04/10/2025 01:13

We must not allow the genocide deniers and those who do not want freedom for Palestinians to stop our right to freedom of speech and our democratic right to protest for them

What are you doing to use your freedom of speech to implore Hamas to give in to demands.
No I didn’t think so.

I could pray for you, am I breaking the law? Don't worry. I won't. I don't pray for people who support abortion.

Count me out on the marching but you go ahead. Carry on. See how many more terrorist's you can incite to commit more atrocities.

Oh but but but ……they will just say it’s a lone wolf with a mental health problem.
They’re too thick or too arrogant or too narcissistic to admit to their wrongs.

I think this is what jumps out at me the most on this thread. Some people cannot get their heads around that 2 things can be true at the same time.

For example, I think BOTH the Israeli government and Hamas are dangerous war criminals. I am continually saying that, but no I am still being called a Hamas supporter on here. It’s like talking to those Bots who don’t read your actual message and respond with something irrelevant.

You literally said the Israelis have locked the Palestinians up in a prison so the Palestinians don't get much chance to attack back except October 7th, when Hamas and various other Palestinian terrorist organisations orchestrated a huge terrorist attack on a largely civilian population, committing many atrocities.
Sounds quite supportive.

tobee · 04/10/2025 14:33

Why do I feel so many posters on here (and the population in general) only read one side of the argument?

IAmThePrettiestManOnMyIsland · 04/10/2025 14:34

DrPrunesqualer · 04/10/2025 13:53

This is all getting a bit desperate isn’t it
Palestine Action arrests….really !

Whats that got to do with Jewish people
and where’s pink haired Barbara ?

You say you are more concerned about Brits leaving their houses. How does that even remotely compare to Palestinian innocents being killed and IDF snipers taking pot shots at the starving .

I have empathy and am concerned about the genocide happening in Gaza.

What is desperate is your inability to answer a simple question. What does 'river to the sea ' mean? Do you deny seeing the offensive slogans or hearing chants that equate to incitement to violence at these protests?

'Whats that got to do with Jewish people?' What has open antisemitism got to with Jews? Gee I wonder....

'where’s pink haired Barbara' There are plenty of them at the Palestine protests every weekend. Don't act oblivious or pretend you haven't noticed a sea of odd coloured hair and facial piercings at these events.

'You say you are more concerned about Brits leaving their houses.' Yes I am because the safety of British citizens is my main concern as a British citizen.

'I have empathy and am concerned about the genocide happening in Gaza.' But evidently not for Jews in the uk.

MyHeartyCoralSnail · 04/10/2025 14:34

DrPrunesqualer · 04/10/2025 12:53

They are protests for peace and against genocide
If that means they are antisemitic then your understanding of the word needs re addressing

Attempts on social media to shut this down by shaming people with this anti semitic argument are pointless
We all understand

I’m sorry, but have you heard how these marches and protests make Jews feel? Jewish children frightened and intimidated.

Are you joining similar protests for the many more killed in Ukraine? What about Sudan? myrama? Or any other the other 21 Wars going on round the world now. Surely the threat to Europe that the Russia:Ukraine war poses (inc a threat to the UK) would make this a far more relevant war to protest for peace. Which day is that protest being held? Or are you only interested in protests against the Jewish state? If you’re concerned about people being displaced from their homes, I’m sure that those in southern Cyprus would be interested in your thoughts about the invasion there far more recently by an Islamic country. Again, part of the Europe so that is probably more relevant to you surely? Or is the lack of Jews there and an Islam country being the one you would be protesting about an issue.

its painful to watch so many clearly easily manipulated people drinking on honestly thinking they have the moral and intellectual high ground in this. It’s laughable how they don’t realise they have been manipulated by Hamas and their supporters to such an extent they don’t realise what they are doing. I suspect, without the placard waving support of Hamas in the west this war would have been over far far quicker, I highly suspect the support has buoyed Hamas into digging in their heels and ensuring more deaths because that seems to trigger the western soliders to keep going. Waving placards has probably caused many more deaths of children.

So praying silently in one's head is protesting? Can that same logic be applied to Muslims praying in the street? Or are Muslims a protected demographic?

Because supporting hamas and palestine action (also terrorists) is cool and trendy in the uk.

As is your right. I do not want your prayers. If someone insisted on offering theirs to me, though, why would they do so outside an abortion clinic and not at home? Surely God wouldn’t care where they were.
She was clearly intending to cause distress. So was arrested, rightly.

Your attitude of not praying for someone who doesn’t share your views is a very negative reflection of religion and part of the root cause of the desperate situation between Palestine and Israel.

I wonder what Sarah Mullaly would make of your interpretation of God’s love? I’ll only pray for people who agree with me? Not a lot, I imagine, after her all encompassing inaugural speech yesterday.

Anyway, we’re derailing.

TheGirlWhoWantedToBeGod · 04/10/2025 14:38

My personal passion for Gaza has been about 15 years strong.

OP, this sentence of yours stood out to me and really crystallises why I’m so uncomfortable with the pro Palestine protests in the UK.

You speak almost as though Gaza is a favourite band or hobby of yours. Why are you so ‘passionate’ about Gaza but not the suffering of people in Sudan or Yemen or countless other places?

Yes, I get that one individual can’t protest against every injustice in the world. I’m not expecting you to.

But please reflect on why you (and so many like you) have selected Gaza as their cause to be passionate about. And why it is considered reasonable to call for the destruction of Israel in a way that is not contemplated in regard to any other country.

She broke the law of the land and prayed within a prescribed exclusion zone outside an abortion clinic.

Had she prayed further away, she would not have been arrested.

It’s not what I said. Israel has more blood on their hands because they are stronger military wise and have the opportunity have by their army planted on Palestinian land. Nothing I said was supportive of terrorism so let’s not make things up to suit your narrative.

Oh but they’re on the ‘right side of history’.

Anyone who doesn’t share their views is a facist/ racist/ genocide excuser etc

Must be nice to be so full of virtue.

hehehesorry · 04/10/2025 14:42

Ew, no. I support the side where women have their freedoms, homosexuality doesn't have to be kept under wraps and the side where I'd feel safe walking around their country. Palestine is backwards, other muslim countries won't touch them outside of using them as a proxy in their holy war.

wrongthinker · 04/10/2025 14:44

No. Are you serious? Keep going out and waving your terror flags and supporting the Hamas death cult. Keep going out and yelling anti-semitic slogans and death threats? In the wake of an abhorrent anti-Jewish attack and murder?

What the actual fuck is wrong with you people.

There are two sides in every holy war.

Because one is “backwards”, it’s acceptable to blow it to smithereens and murder it’s civilians?

Doesn’t feel very “holy” to me.

Where’s next, because it’s “backwards”?

Positvely medieval.
