Am I the only one who does this?! Feel massively judged by my friends

Girly dinner this week - not the classiest of conversations but it was somehow brought up that I use the loo at work for all ‘eventualities’.

They were horrified and said it’s strictly wee only for them.

Am I really that unusual?!

If you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go…..

OneMintWasp · 03/10/2025 17:30

No you're not...its a toilet. That's what it's for. If you need to go, you need to go. Why spend the day uncomfortable. I couldn't care less!

333FionaG · 03/10/2025 17:30

Are you the poo troll? 😂

No!! I did consider making that clear in my OP 😂

Friday evening and it’s poo troll o’ clock.

Some women are incredibly prissy. A lifetime of constipation awaits them.

ginasevern · 03/10/2025 17:33

I'd prefer not to have a dump at work or in someone else's house and I expect most people feel the same. But I have. I can't believe that your friends really never have.

ComtesseDeSpair · 03/10/2025 17:33

I learned from my mum recently (I’ve no idea how we got onto this topic of conversation, but there you go) that she has never had a poo outside of her own home or a holiday cottage she was staying in (I did ask the second one, out of sheer curiosity for her health.)

Me, I’m like a bear, or the pope. Anywhere is fine.

PrincessFluffyPants · 03/10/2025 17:34

This reminds me, I followed a link to a Guardian article today, read the very non poo related news report on their website and noticed that every link further down the page to other stories were all about POO. I mean WTF? Is the nation getting obsessed?

This!

As a PP pointed out it’s one of the functions of a toilet. Life is too short to make yourself uncomfortable or even ill to live up to some ridiculous stereotype of femininity.

Ionlymakejokestodistractmyself · 03/10/2025 17:35

Tell them to watch the Andrex ads from last year.

People get I'll from holding their poo in you know!

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 03/10/2025 17:36

I never 'go' at work. To save embarrassment I go either in the local MacDonalds or if they are busy then in the small wooded area near my office. Just can't bring myself to do it near colleagues.

SprayWhiteDung · 03/10/2025 17:37

It's absolutely disgusting using a purpose-built toilet in an enclosed, locked cubicle to have a poo at work. I would never dream of it - I keep a bucket in the boot of my car and use that under a tree in the corner of the car park.

Why wouldn't anybody with a modicum of class and decorum do the same?

RIP Patricia Routledge.

RamsaySnowsSausage · 03/10/2025 17:39

Best dumps I have are at work. How can you work well while pushing cloth?

Bonus points if you don't log off (pardon the pun). Paid to poop is the dream.

Berlinlover · 03/10/2025 17:40

I can’t understand how anyone can hold their poo, surely if you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.

Don't bring Hyacinth into this of all subjects!!

It just seemed especially poignant today of all days!!

God forbid a woman needs to take a dump.

Pleasegetmeacoffeesotired · 03/10/2025 17:45

The first time I stayed at my husband's (then boyfriend) overnight, I would walk to the McDonald's to do my business lol. Completely ridiculous, but that's what I did.

Skybluepinky · 03/10/2025 17:45

Not something I’d do, I hate the smell of public toilets.

In the small wooded what now?

CopperWhite · 03/10/2025 17:46

Most people can hold it for a few hours without a problem, but it really depends on individual workplaces as to whether people should be expected too or not IMO. Big airy spaces where everyone else has a choice of cubicles, fine, go if you need to. Small workplaces with only one or two toilets and no windows to cater for a lot of people, then if you can, hold it. It’s selfish to stink out spaces that other people are forced to use when you could just wait a while.

RamsaySnowsSausage · 03/10/2025 17:48

In a small wooded area! Then pick it up in a dog poo bag and hang it from a branch, just like our ancestors did.

TotallyUnapologeticOmnivore · 03/10/2025 17:52

I wouldn't dream of doing That Disgusting Thing anywhere. It's mind over matter.
