Reform voters may not be racist but they are at least dangerously naive

AIBU to accept that some Reform voters may not actually be racist, but to be pretty certain that, if they're not, they are at the very least dangerously naive?

I thought we all got taught at school about how fascism took over in 1939s Germany? And there's so much out there at the moment showing why we are at a dangerous turning point in history again.

Why is it that the so-called non-racist Reform voters not see that they are aligning themselves with a covertly racist and fascist-leaning party and that their support risks tipping the balance towards a fascist dictatorship in the UK?

facing the same pressures, none have left the EU. It is down to border control which each imposes as much as they can.

They are STILL spouting vacuous virtue-signalling pieties about diversity & multiculturalism from a position of privilege. They are STILL calling ordinary working class people who are concerned about uncontrolled mass immigration thick / racist / far right / bigot etc etc.

Then they expect those people who they sneer at and patronise and demonise to vote Labour / Lib Dem / Green at the next election because that is the good & virtuous thing to do. They haven’t learned the lessons of the Brexit referendum, which they lost, largely because of immigration. Will they finally learn when Reform win the next election? Probably not.

The swan eating claims are completely spurious and were over twenty years ago when they first appeared. Not one person has been proven to have caught and eaten a swan.

Apart from anything else, the stories defy logic. If I was so hungry I needed to raid my local pond, I'd go for the ducks rather than a swan which could seriously damage me.

You keep diverging. Yes a new French President will have policies that their electorate want. It won’t be Macron. It could change things a lot. It’s nothing to do with Brexit still. Each new PM in the EU impacts others as it means borders are more hardline or not.

I've had amazing care from the NHS this year, I've unfortunately had need of them a lot this year.
They've literally been a life saver.
There's no way I'd ever risk the NHS and "just pay private" - everyone deserves free healthcare, I can't even imagine how I'd have paid for all what I've needed. People would just put off going to the doctor.
Too much knocking of them and it pisses me off.

They may not be racist but they are happy to support the same party who are supported by far right extremists. They might want to consider what it is about their favoured party that attracts these elements and whether they would be happy if the party achieved the aims that these groups want. If the answer is yes then you are probably racist.

No one is doing anyone favours. If Germany or anywhere else gets a gov that has a mandate to have strict border control they will do the same.

Plus wait to see the policies, to the right here and there could change things anyway.

For EU member states, border control is an EU wide issue. The UK is now on its own.
