Reform voters may not be racist but they are at least dangerously naive

AIBU to accept that some Reform voters may not actually be racist, but to be pretty certain that, if they're not, they are at the very least dangerously naive?

I thought we all got taught at school about how fascism took over in 1939s Germany? And there's so much out there at the moment showing why we are at a dangerous turning point in history again.

Why is it that the so-called non-racist Reform voters not see that they are aligning themselves with a covertly racist and fascist-leaning party and that their support risks tipping the balance towards a fascist dictatorship in the UK?

They are absolutely racist.

No party can "fix" the UK. Voting Reform won't change a thing.

The monetary system collapsed in 2008. It was "saved" by breaking all the rules and creating money out of nothing. Since then, western economies have been on life support, negative interest rates, money printing, anything to prop up the illusion. But time has run out.

There is simply no way that the economy can generate the money required to make the system work again. We owe three trillion pounds. That's around 40k per person. The average UK salary is significantly less than that. There is literally no way that any Government can fix that. Unless the average worker suddenly gets a 10k pay rise, we can't even have that conversation.

But people, stupid people, think the problem is immigration, and that a digital I.D is going to fix everything.

Wake the fuck up people!

This is the real existential issue, regardless of who is in power

@Chiseltipcan you point me to any more info or sources on this, as it worries me and I want to learn more about it and what I can do, if anything, to protect myself?

Everyone harping back to Brexit. It was 15 years ago, we should have sorted it out by now. Not still dealing with it 15 years later.

Had Remainers not dragged their feet it probably would have been sorted by now but we had various PMs trying to get things through parliament and meeting resistance. People going to court to try and get the result overturned because it didn't go their way. We had Cameron resigning like a child because he didn't get his way. All wasting time.

Instead of actually dealing with things we spent years fighting each other.

Will we still he blaming Brexit for successive government failings in 20 years time?!

I think a lot of people don’t love Reform, but they have the common sense to realise we can’t be importing the third world and paying for them to be housed and on benefits. That’s the reality, we have either been importing cheap Eastern European labour, who did work but the vast majority were paid top off of tax credits or universal credit or their rent, they were not net contributors once their top benefits were added. Now we are importing from poor from backward countries. Don’t be so complacent to think this won’t seriously cause damage to our country. The poor will be affected the most. A huge amount of Muslims have been imported you won’t be so virtual signalling when women’s rights get eroded in the next 30 years and we become like Iran. What do you think will happen in 20/30 years if we continue like this? Don’t give me they’ll be working my friends work in benefits the women don’t work, have lots of kids and the men do uber for just 16 hours a week they can maximise their benefits. Please tell me where your naivety thinks this will end if nothing is done?

'Backward countries', why not just sign racist at the end of your post. I thought people like you were left in the 50's where they belong.

It's always possible to be even more fucked.

If you want to guarantee it, vote for Farage.

It is already certain with this government, and a possibility with Farage. I'd take the chance on some possibility of a better outcome. The only people who really need to worry about a Farage government are those who are taking the piss and will have their benefits cut if they don't accept a job offer.

Is there a reason people choose to leave these countries? If all countries are pretty much the same, is there a reason why more people aren’t moving there instead of coming here? Would you fancy living there?

The negative consequences from Brexit are permanent. Of course they haven't gone away!

I've no idea what you think "should be sorted by now". It's done. It's just shit.

I agree with the naivety, I expect many do not realise what would happen to the NHS especially and other public services.

A lot have them have no problem with official immigration professionals want to come and work here so there would no impact on nhs and public services
it’s out of control illegal immigration who contribute nothing and costing us a fortune

Only the wealth leave the UK for other countries for a better life because for others benefits give them a cosy life here.

Out of interest, which of Farage's policies do you think are going to improve people's lives?

What about all the people who will have their ILR rescinded? Don't you think they should be worried?

So are the positives. About the only thing going well for Starmer is his influence on foreign policy. That wouldn't be happening if we were still in the EU. He must be counting his lucky stars otherwise there would be absolutely nothing good to say about him.

Nope. If they are contributing they will be able to stay, if not they can go back home. You know when you're a piss taker. and can plan accordingly.

If you literally can't think of any - maybe you suffer from the fabled lack of critical thinking referred to in the thread above.

So it is piss taking if a person is a lower earner (the threshold to qualify for a visa will be £60k according to the Times) and has been working here for decades?

And the people who have spent their entire working lives here who will have their pensions removed? You think that's ok?

Do you think, fundamentally, that thats a fair policy? Or do you just view the immigrants as slaves to the British economy?

Or perhaps it's because there aren't any.

What was the positive you think I mentioned?
