I mean, how many sweets must Haribo sell, to be able to afford to show their irritating ads SO often?

People wrapping themselves in newly washed duvets so perfumed that they're "never giving it back" or are carried off wrapped in bedclothes.

Classiccar1 · 29/09/2025 20:54

There's a new one I posted about yesterday for Sofology. A mom and daughter are in a pet shop choosing a Guinea pig, they reject several and then get a colour swatch out and it turns out they want one in rusty brown to match their new sofa!
Don't know why but it just annoyed me.

There’s one in Scotland just now for Macintosh foods like stovies and macaroni cheese. It’s horrendous, a family with really bad pseudo posh Glaswegians accents saying shite like “it’s absolutely belting”. Just awful.

Tres tidy. Lotta shite.

I'm so glad I started this thread.
I thought it was just me who got the rage! Loving all your posts.

It's meant to be a laugh but it's not funny. I do find the one where they all sing about diarrhoea to be absolutely hilarious though! 🤣

That's a bit vile though. But yeah, it is annoyingly funny! 😆

OMG there is nothing worse than the Indeed one about his salary. It gives me the rage.

OMG that is fecking awful! It's on every ad break when you play Channel 4 On Demand! So it's hard to avoid.

'Errrr I think you, as an employer, should tell me what the salary is.....' 'no you say what you want.' 'But you tell me what it is please.' 'But YOU need to tell me what you want.' 'But maybe you could give me an idea.' 'No YOU!'

Fecking daft, annoying ad. And he has an annoying pinched little face! 😆

TheFormidableMrsC · 29/09/2025 23:09

The Specsavers ads with Bev & Barry. Absolutely excruciating

Readandsew · 29/09/2025 23:13

Any perfume/aftershave ad, the fundamental problem being that if I can't smell the product, (and its smell is the only reason it exists) how the hell can I decide whether I'd want to buy it??!!! Johnny Depp needs a good wash, and clearly Sauvage smells. Also any gambling ad, particularly the guy that looks like Del Boy dancing and singing. I can just about tolerate the Omaze ads now the voice over has changed. Original woman's intonation was weird and irritating. The holiday advert with the fat family that endlessly appeared during the ad breaks for the masked singer. I had to mute this and look away every time this was on. I tend to watch BBC, and record programmes from the other channels to avoid the ads.But even the BBC now has trailers for its own programmes that are more like adverts, and I get fed up with these,.

Yeah I just laugh imagining the actors having to face their colleagues in their day job! 🤣

KimberleyClark · 30/09/2025 00:03

That Direct Cremation one where the woman is hovering outside the bathroom banging on to her husband, who is in the bath, about the lovely funeral they’ve just been to. Why on earth wouldn’t she just go in and sit on the loo to talk to him?

sittingonabeach · 30/09/2025 00:23

@TY78910 that’s the actors who were in When Harry met Sally re-enacting a scene from the film

Dontcallmescarface · 30/09/2025 05:28

All of them .

Empress13 · 30/09/2025 05:33

Thankfully I haven’t seen it recently but the Daisy Daisy fuckin Daisy Ad ground my gears ! 😩

TheDivergentEnigma · 30/09/2025 05:43

That bloody virgin train puppet.......

muddyford · 30/09/2025 05:52

All of them. No idea what three-quarters of them are about. BBC is just as bad with its trailers.

Ahhhh okay that makes more sense!

nomas · 30/09/2025 08:48

The Jude Law one with Uber Eats, which is looping endlessly on one streaming app.

He’s known for one twee romantic film, why does this mean he’s a romcom hero? He’s not! He’s a has-been nanny shagger!

nomas · 30/09/2025 08:51

TY78910 · 30/09/2025 08:43

lol did you not recognise Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal?

NC4thehaters · 30/09/2025 08:53

Vogue S and her bloody washing powder
Any Flash advert
The cheap gambling ones with the woman with long curly ginger hair, I reckon the budget was £50 per ad!

It’s annoying when you watch anything on catchup because they play the same frigging ad every break so you see it 4 or 5 times🤬

Most adverts actually work in reverse on me - I hate them so much I’ll refuse to buy a product!

TY78910 · 30/09/2025 08:56

nomas · 30/09/2025 08:51

Nope!! Not my generation 😬

NC4thehaters · 30/09/2025 09:04

Zoopet · 29/09/2025 16:23

Dying donkey/dog/ cat ( insert animal of your choice) begging adverts for charity.
Also that dreadful one where a woman skips down the path to a man on a bench and joyfully talks about planning her funeral.
WTF I'll finish her off now so that her family can claim a refund for her planned funeral etc.

The ‘give us your money’ adverts play loads on daytime TV especially during older viewer friendly programmes- they’re obvs targeting the pensioners which pisses me off.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/09/2025 09:06

I’ve looked all through the thread and haven’t seen it! Can’t believe no one’s mentioned the Fage Yoghurt ad with the 2 kids. I so hate it.

It’s Fa-YEH

TY78910 · 30/09/2025 08:56

Lol, my 20 year old niece wouldn't recognise them. Are you gen z?
