There was a show me your bedroom thread years ago, where of course everyone had beautiful bedrooms. One poster did a reverse search and many of them were hotel rooms abroad 🤣. Just saying incase anyone is feeling bad that their kitchen looks subpar.

Thank you!

I'm only browsing this thread to feed my kitchen envy 😂 Now I feel so hard done by, I'm going to cheer myself up by copying @Starling7 and posting my AI generated kitchen. I obviously have an AI cleaner to keep it looking nice!

FAB! Meanwhile, back in the real world for us mere mortals ... 😂

We saved up for a decade as we wanted something unique, not a boring kitchen from IKEA, Wren etc. It is a real work of art. I have sensitive-imaged it as it may make you so jealous you'll need therapy.

Love this colour

I agree. It looks so fresh, particularly with the white tiles and work surfaces. 😍

Here's mine. The walls are kind of an off white/cream with a pinkish undertone. It's north facing and not a very light room but the colours add warmth.

Lovely colour! 😍

Ours is cream walls and sage cupboards, but could do with a quick wipe.

It is bespoke, hand crafted and we had numerous meetings with the designer to ensure that it meets the needs of our family.

It really is the beating heart of our home ❤️

Oh dear God - I can never unsee that! 😫

sophiecygnet · 13/09/2025 10:52

We had green walls, similar to the green MN use as background to the OP's post. The cupboards meant their was no large area of green.
We had a panel of Mexican tiles on one wall. Small squares and bright colours.

😂😂😂Yep, I definitely need therapy after seeing THAT! (Who know you could have an en-suite kitchen? 😂 )

This is mine. Not the best photo in the world, but the cabinets are a forest green colour.

I chose sage green at the last minute - really glad I did. And pan drawers - best thing, better than lots of cupboards.

Lovely! 😍

HateThursdays · 13/09/2025 11:05

I’ve got so much kitchen envy looking at this thread! It reminds me of the annual Christmas fridge thread.

I won’t post my kitchen as it’s at least 40 years old and the wrong colour and it will just make you glad you have the kitchen you already have! 😂

tillyandmilly · 13/09/2025 11:07

Wow all your kitchens are beautiful! I am not showing mine as 1990’s! and falling apart!

Ours took a week and a half to do and made such a difference. We went to IKEA and used their design service . I already knew some of the things I wanted (wall units used as base units on one side to allow space for our table, solid wood worktops, a double sink and using patterned ceramic handles bought from a company in India via Etsy rather than any of the IKEA ones) and their designer worked with that and the measurements to come up with something that we really loved and that uses all the space. They suggested incorporating more drawers and I would do that again-its so much easier to access everything at the back.

Thank you. Did you use their fitting service too?

lifeonmars100 · 13/09/2025 11:13

What beautiful kitchens, mine is in a right state, very clean though! Had a new sink put in and am going to get it decorated. No way that I can afford to replace it and I am glad I chose white units with plain flat doors that have not dated. However the doors are looking scruffy and I was thinking about just replacing them but I come out in a cold sweat at the thought of measuring and getting it wrong. Some of the replacment doors websites seem as pricey as getting a budget kitchen . Then I think about painting the doors and watch YouTube vidoes and it all looks a piece of piss and so simple with great results but I can imagine doing it all wrong and having to live with my kitchen looking even worse. So I sit there paralysed with indecision. Loving the thread and hope it inspires me to do something

NNforthispost · 13/09/2025 11:15

Can’t show mine as it is messy - but I have pale green units and have painted the walls ‘waxed jacket’ by dulux heritage. Thought H would hate the colour but we both love it. And I have the most beautiful scandi wallpaper on one wall (it’s dark green with rabbits and foxes).

I know so many with white kitchens. My own was cream for about fifteen years. I just got bored with plain neutrals. I have to say if I did it again I think I’d go for an airforce blue shade on the units. But I love green too.

@ReductionHob can I ask where your flooring is from? Lovely kitchen.

Here you go!

@Skippydoodle I really do like that table.

NNforthispost · 13/09/2025 11:19

Just to add - it’s so bloody expensive- I lived with a crumbling shit kitchen for fifteen years. When we did get it done it was because we received an inheritance- couldn’t have afforded it otherwise as it cost 15k (on top of that we had to get the house rewired). I went for wren and it’s good quality but their fitters charge a fortune so we went with local tradies for installation. They ballsed up the kickboards so it’s a decision I regret!

AngelicKaty · 13/09/2025 11:20

Here's mine OP. After 41 years with my DH, in three houses, I finally got my first ever new kitchen three years ago (it'll probably be my last too!) Mine's a Burbidge kitchen in F&B Putty and Old Navy, with F&B Stiffkey Blue on the opposite end wall (I didn't want to cram in an island in my relatively small kitchen - 15.5ft x 17ft - but I liked the idea of having an accent colour so achieved it on the "feature" hob wall with the base units). I would have liked all navy, but thought it might be too dark in our West-facing kitchen. No tiling anywhere so no grout to go grotty over time. The hob splash-back is easy-clean (and it really is!) toughened mirror which I bought online from a Belfast company at a keen price, and the flooring is Amtico which I bought online at half the price of our local retailer. If you want these online retailers' details OP, DM me and I'll send you the links. 😃Good luck with your new kitchen - the pale, soft greens that have been posted are beautiful!
