I was just thinking this! They are all so beautiful 😆

I think the nicest ones are the smaller, quirky, interesting, colourful ones. But then I hate grey and greige (personal taste). I think there's quite a variety on here.

@LibertyLily I love this!

Thank you! Love yours too...and good luck with your sale!

This is my favourite thread! Off to do my dishes so I can add my beautiful kitchen. It’s my favourite room I’ve ever had!

Love this floor! What a fantastic colour!
Are you tempted to paint the walls or add tiles in this colour?

Thanks. I think it would be too complicated. It's in my bungalow and is the only way through. I only had it for one year when the original floor, beigey vinyl tiles, had to be replaced as the tiles were shifting all over the place. I wanted a darker red but it's really hard to find any red in standard flooring. It was so bright it felt risky, but I really like it now.

Here’s my kitchen. Small but nice.

I love the pink 😍

ZippyDeer · 13/09/2025 19:58

This is mine. It was a dark wood style before but this still suits our cottage and I love it.

Recently had mine done in pale yellow and green

Yours is my favourite kitchen on the thread @bilbodog 😍

We were going to go with yellow cabinets and a Sophie Robinson/Harlequin wallpaper, but as we'd already spent a fortune on painting the room when it was a living room soon after moving last year, we decided to stick with what we had. I'm definitely going with yellow if we move again though!

We lived with a vile MFI kitchen for 25 years. It was a horrid kitchen, badly planned and installed in a very small room. 25 years of not being able to have anyone in the kitchen with me, as no matter where they stood, they were in the way.

Years of saving, and we extended and put a new kitchen in last year.

It is from DIY-Kitchens, and the colour is Cornflower. Depending on the light, it can look blue-ish, green-ish or grey-ish. I still, 15 months on, can't decide what colour to have on the walls - all suggestions welcomed. I've used blue accessories, so want a colour that will emphasise the blue-ness.

Last Christmas, I could have cried with happiness, as me, my husband, three (adult) children and a grandchild all congregated around the island, prepping and cooking Christmas dinner.

These photos were taken shortly after installation. It looks much more lived-in now, although I have plenty of cupboard space to put stuff away - especially in the cavernous corner larder 😅

Not neutral but I find blues and greens really calming. So it’s a neutral for me. I was obviously working around a smallish, awkward space, but I find the colours work well with the natural light the area receives.

@MetricMs what type of floor do you have in your kitchen? DH and I agree we like it and that doesn't happen often! Thanks in advance.

HurdyGurdy19 · 13/09/2025 20:06

Oh, not sure the photos uploaded. Apologies if we end up with multiples.

This is mine, it’s a few months old and I really love it. We had lived with a 40 year old tiny kitchen that was falling apart for 20 years so I deserved this!

I really like that green, @Rocketdog2020 .
Your space is a good size and shape.

This is my favourite! Love a green and yellow kitchen. And I ADORE a lived-in homey look! Your kitchen looks like you actually cook in it x

Thanks I love it too. It’s called Misty Moors. The other side is a dining table and sofa. Not huge but made a massive difference to family life now the kids are teenagers.

Really!?!? 😂

Oh my real one looks like one from communist Russia circa 1972. I just thought I'd have a bit of fun 😁

Foxesjumpers · 13/09/2025 20:40

Where is everyone's belongings?! All the kitchens are empty!! They looks amazing though :)

This is mine. Rose pink units and a pale cream island. The photo was taken when it was first fitted - hence no mess or clutter!

I chose sage green at the last minute - really glad I did. And pan drawers - best thing, better than lots of cupboards.

This is beautiful

JungAtHeart · 13/09/2025 20:55

It’s a bit makeshift but it used to be completely brown 😂

This is mine. In my head this was tidy… ignore the fruit from washing the bowl as it had a mouldy lemon in the bottom, and the washing up, and the drying dishes… how do people manage to have spotless kitchens? This is IKEA with custom doors.

Love this one. Where did you get the custom doors?

plominoagain · 13/09/2025 21:23

I’m not showing you mine yet - we’re busy emptying it for a company to come in and take the removable parts away for them to be stripped and repainted , before coming back and doing the rest ! Everything’s in boxes and I’m taking the opportunity to ‘curate’. ( what a wanky term that is ) my kitchen kit . Does anyone really need 3 stick blenders ?

Quite a few of them come up on reverse image search as they’ve been taken from elsewhere on the internet. Take everything with a pinch of salt Smile

Two have definitely been taken off the internet (the enormous, gorgeous ones!) as the pps have admitted as much, but which others have been?
A number of pps have said theirs have just been installed or they posted photo's of theirs when they'd just been installed, even if it was a while ago. You certainly won't find mine in a reverse image search - I just like having a tidy kitchen (partly because I had to wait 41 years to get it!) 😊
